    With it's location right off sunset boulevard and in between Bel Air and Brentwood, it sounds like the perfect spot. However, there really isn't much to do right nearby, so a car is needed for everything, and the freeway is RIGHT THERE. I mean right outside the window. Opening the patio door or window was out of the question because of the noise. But the hotel is well-built, and the sound doesn't get inside. The views were non-existent due to the haze and fog (aside from the view of the freeway). The bar on the top floor is beautiful, but has the most expensive cocktails I've seen anywhere. In the world. The staff were impeccable, the fitness center decent for a hotel, and the valets were fast and prompt.

Location. Located between the communities of Brentwood and Bel Air, in Los Angeles, Calif., sits the Hotel Angeleno. The Getty Center Museum is one mile away and the property is three- and-one-half miles from the shops of Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, Venice Beach and Santa Monica State Beach. One floor of this 17-story hotel is devoted to patients of the university's medical center.

Hotel Features. The West Restaurant and Lounge, an Italian steakhouse, offers panoramic views of Los Angeles along with Tuscan stews and Florentine steaks. The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with room service provided during certain hours. A lobby breakfast bar and sundries shop are also available. The Hotel Angeleno provides a business center with computers, convenience station and complimentary wireless Internet access. Recreational amenities include a heated outdoor pool surrounded by a patio with a fireplace, and a fitness center overlooking the pool. The hotel also rents GPS navigational devices for use in guest automobiles for an additional fee.

Guestrooms. The 208 guestrooms of the Hotel Angeleno are detailed in dark-wood furnishings with leather embellishments. Rooms include private balconies providing views of Los Angeles. Beds offer Pillowtop mattresses while complimentary designer toiletries are featured in each bathroom. Additional amenities include cable television with premium channels and complimentary wireless Internet access.
