Needs Improvement

Only weekly maid service. Had Air Conditioner leak water onto floor. Staff was slow to respond, finally after second call someone came up and placed fans in the room. I expected the room would be cleaner when I check in. Lowest cost in the area, but service reflects that.

October trip

The hotel was overall good the only thing I didn't like was that the bathtub and the shower curtain was moldie and not not very clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and professional.

Great room for the money.

Great room for the money, however, I asked for a non-smoking studio and it was obvious there had been heavy smoking in the room prior to my stay. I was too tired to switch rooms but i will in the future.

A Great Deal

Stayed for three nights; an "extended stay" kinda place -- meaning they do not offer bed service, so don't be surprised. Amazingly quiet - and right next to the airport. Great neighborhood.

Great room for the money

...far exceeded my expectations especially after reading some of the reviews. The room was quite comfortable for the price. Had all the required necessities. Front desk clerk was peronable and quite helpful. Convenient location to the airport. Have stayed on more than occasion. Will stay on my next trip to Miami. Should be upgraded to a 3 star hotel.

Stars need to be upgraded!

We recently stayed at this hotel and we quite impressed with our stay. The front desk clerks were wonderful to deal with and very helpful with our needs. This was a very clean room, clean bathroom and clean kitchenette. As far as we are concened, the only thing wrong is that The Homestead Miami Airport Blue Lagoon this hotel only has a two (2) star rating. It should definitely be upgraded because it far exceeds a lousy 2 star rating!!

Don't come here.

I had a Queen bed and could not for the life of me go to sleep as it was a very humid and hot night and I had to keep getting up to work the AC as it would blow right at me. Was not able to adjust it. Finally fell asleep for about two hours when I heard 2 sets of gun shots right in the parking lot at 4:33am. Did NOT turn on the lights and did NOT peek out. The bathroom had some kind of white dusty film on everything as if it had been cleaned once and forgotten. Staff were very friendly, but they need to work at a fancier hotel to match their friendliness.

Needs Improvement

We stayed for 12 days and our room was not cleaned until the 11 day, we had to go to the office for supplies (towels, paper etc.) this was very inconvenient.

ROOM SOUNDS LIKE IS RIGHT ON THE RUNWAY OF AIRPORT

NEEDS IMPROVEMENT,ROOM SMELLS LIKE HELLS KICHEN,NO TOILETRY,SHAMPOO ETC,A/C KICKS IN AND OUT CONSTANTLY.
