Trip Type: Business Review 16 of 36Its great value for the price
Its very close to major highway and all the activity area, quality is good. The wi-fi is cheap, but in my case, the signal kept dropping, so was not very useful. For its price, I have no problem recommend it to everybody.

Room pretty much what I expected. Lots of closet space, small kitchen area good. Room had a musty smell. The bed was hard and uncomfortable.

Trip Type: Business Review 18 of 36There is no hotel service
There is no service. They only clean the room one time a week and that is an extra charge. There is no food and no drinks in the hotel. Not even a coke box. No water no nothing. No ice!

Trip Type: Business Review 21 of 36Front desk is absolutely incompetent
I had to go back to my room 4 times (keys woulnd't work). Then, the front desk person went up to the room and behold! there was someone already in the room. They had put me in the wrong room. After 1/2 hour, i finally get to an unoccupied room.

It's pretty much what I expected, fairly basic, but inexpensive.

Trip Type: Business Review 23 of 36Great Value, Excellent Location!
The Houston Homestead-Galleria is located right off of 610 and is right across the street from the Galleria and near many restaurants. The room was large, more than big enough for one person, and I found it nice to have a fridge for my restaurant leftovers. The room was clean, comfortable, and check in/out was a breeze. One heads up: If you're staying for a long period of time, they only do one room cleaning a week, unless you pay for more. You can exchange towels at the front desk though. I didn't find this to be a problem because there were more than enough towels for just myself to use a fresh one each time I needed it. If you want a simple place that provides great value for the money, look no further than this hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 24 of 36Better than ok
The hotel location was great. It was clean and well kept. We were satisfied. It was not a luxury hotel, but that is what we needed. Reasonably priced, good location, good bed. As a big plus it had a refirgerator and microwave. I like snacks. Thanks

Trip Type: Special Event Review 25 of 36Needs Better Customers Service
The hotel desk attendent was not very knowledgable and didn't know what she was doing. She kept telling me that she was new and that this was her first night working alone. Not my problem. She could not figure out the correct price for the room we were staying in. That was very unexceptable.

Trip Type: Business Review 26 of 36Good room for the money
Hotel was fine. Clean enough and a good rate. The only thing that I didn't like was the smell of carpet glue or something to that effect. Couldn't put my finger on it, but we managed - you could open the window so I aired out the room and it was fine.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 28 of 36Not Satisfied.....
This hotel is not up to par! First they couldn't locate my reservation and the reservations clerk was not helpful. She lacked professionalism and should not be answering calls. Staff were rude upon check-in and again not helpful. I expect more from a Galleria area hotel location. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone not worth the price even if it is a good rate. Go elsewhere!

Trip Type: Family Review 29 of 36Worth the money
This hotel is reasonably priced, in a nice nieghborhood, and the fact that each room has a kitchen makes it very nice if traveling with young children. It was easy to store drinks/snacks, wash bottles, etc. It's very basic with no frills, but still a nice, clean, comfortable room.

Trip Type: Business Review 30 of 36Bar the Door
The hotel was undergoing additional renovations, so it was in a state of disarray. The door to my room would unlock itself, so I could push it open without a key. The AC unit was so loud it sounded like an Edsel with a blown head gasket.
