    Needs improvement! Valet parking was very rude when they made a mistake, took forwver. Not impressed witht eh baggage service-- and how long it woudl take to request something like a pillow case w/o blood on it. My room was located w/ crappy view, and the light to illuminate the bldg was hard to block out. The bathtub was cracked. The lobby was beautiful, but didn't maintiant he feel in the rooms.

Location. The renowned Hollywood Roosevelt in Hollywood, Calif., is located along the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and is across the street from Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Entertainment Museum. Griffith Park and Universal Studios are less than two miles from the hotel.

Hotel Features. The ornate Spanish Colonial lobby of the Hollywood Roosevelt houses a corner bar next to a European-style restaurant. Dining and refreshment highlights include Dakota's serving California and continental cuisine, 25 Degrees, a breakfast, burger and wine venue, and the Tropicana offers poolside service. The heated outdoor pool features an underwater mural by David Hockney. Wireless Internet access (fees apply) and business services are provided in the lobby area. A fitness room is located on site.

Guestrooms. The Hollywood Roosevelt's 300 guestrooms feature minimalist décor located in a 12-story tower and two-story poolside cabana. Minimalist décor provides clean, uncluttered appeal. Rooms feature beds with down comforters. Minibars are stocked with Dean and DeLuca brand snacks. Each guestroom includes cable television, and Bose alarm clocks with radios and CD players. Bathrooms offer the Bigelow line of toiletries.

Expert Tip. The Hollywood Roosevelt hosted the first Academy Awards in 1929 and select guestrooms feature contemporary celebrities' handprints preserved in cement.
