Holiday Surf Hotel

Not even worth the price!

You are required to pay for parking, yet there is never enough parking to accomadate everyone. We were awaken twice in one night to move our vehicle, so other guests could park. Housekeeping didn't come till after 2:00 p.m if they came at all. We would have to request towels at front desk all the time. The dishes that were provided didn't even include bowls, and were as if those that were provided was from a garage sale. The stove was so outdated. The refrigerator was the only nice a new thing in the room. Our bathroom door could not even be secured, so anyone could walk in while you do your business. All they needed to do is buy a metal door jam piece for under $5.00 to have it fixed. There was wires hanging out of the ceiling. The location was in close proximity of Waikiki shopping. However the constant noise of traffic and police sirens were most unwelcomed. Not to mention our view off our balcony was of people diving into the dumpster. Air Conditioner was located in the bedroom, therefore you need to keep it on high, so that the living room would be comfortable. The beds and pillows are in need of changing. The pictures made me feel like I was getting a deal, and I expect that you get what you pay for. But in this case, you don't even get what you pay for.

Not worth money

The building is extremely old and run down. Not in a very good part of town. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and there is A/C only in the bedroom. If traveling with pets they charge a ridiculous deposit and they keep if for up to 6 weeks!

Decent for the money

Old hotel doing construction work on some lower rooms. Rooms are clean, maid staff nice, front desk a bit disorganized, not always accurate. Did have kitchenettes with old appliances, dishes, etc. It all worked.
