Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 57Excellent Location, but overpriced
I believe the location is almost unbeatable, however along with my expensive room the hotel parking garage was 28$/day.To go to Arlington Cemetery via the subway for less then 3$ a piece was good.During my whole stay there I had a leaky toilet that they never fixed. The Deli and restaurant on the premises were adequate but convenient. When asking directions from the Concierge, they were overall rude and impatient.

Can't beat the location. The train outside really wasn't a big deal. We heard the breaks squeak a few times, but that was it. Just a few blocks from the mall.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 57Great visit to Washington, DC
Hotel had a great location - close to Metro, close to the Smithsonian Museums. Had a wonderful time in Washington, DC with this hotel as the base. Hotel beds were very comfortable with even a pillow menu. Hotel restaurant options were good, convenient, and reasonably priced.

Staff was rude & discourteous. Restaurant opened 10 minutes late breakfast (anxious people were waiting outside with places to go).

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 57Great Location
The location is amazing - at walking distance to the National Air and Space Museum. The rate we paid was not bad but they charged a fee for microwave and parking. I found those fees ridiculous. The service is good (front desk, room service etc). There is a bar and a restaurant on the Lobby level. Its expensive but you do not have many choices when you are staying close to the mall and on the south side. Overall we enjoyed our stay but I had to checkout with a small hole in my pocket.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 57Great location for Federal buildings
The hotel is very conveniently situated, close to the L'Enfant Plaza Metro stop, and close to the FAA, and Air and Space Museum. Rooms are comfortable and large, and the (empty) mini-fridge is an unexpected bonus. My only complaint is the very loud AC. The fan kicked in about every hour and woke me every time.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 57Great location
Location is great, only block and a half from the Air Space Museum. Kids eat free at their restaurant. Not crazy about dinner buffet but pork loin on menu really good. Breakfast buffet was good. Seasonal rooftop pool was crowded and unusable for hours after stormy weather though the sun was back out and the temp 90 plus. Once open kids had a good time. Parking fees for hotel guests $34 dollars nightly. Ouch!

Trip Type: Family Review 10 of 57not bad, not great
room needed a good cleaning as my wife is a "germafobe" . We went to go out for some sightseeing, but had to return within 15 minutes for a forgotten item, and our room had been cleaned, beds made, bathroom cleaned? etc... kinda makes you wonder if it always gets a quick once over? when it could use a big once over every now and then.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 57Great Access to The National Mall
Hotel is in a good location for walking to the Natural History, Air and Space, and National Gallery. Parking garage is VERY tight not easily traversed in SUV, Mini-Van or larger car. Accessing the garage you need to show ID due to shared space with FEMA. You will pay a typical rate for a metro parking location but have in and out access. Pool is okay, can get crowded in afternoon, just big enough to cool off (3 to 4.5 feet deep). Food is good in hotel but pricey--children coupons help. A few places to eat around the hotel. Cannot beat the location for sightseeing.

Most of Front desk was helpful although they double booked our room and we had to switch. Parking was a nightmare for a large van. I should have just parked on the street!
