Well run hotel

Not fancy, but convenient and well-run. We asked for a room with two double beds to get a little more room. Wifi worked well, and extra bed was convenient to throw stuff on. Breakfast definitely a plus.

Great Hotel, Pricey Neighborhood

Can't complain about anything. Service was great, room was great, breakfast was very good (and included). The hotel is pretty pricey for a Holiday Inn Express, but appropriately priced for the location. The hotel is 50 yards from 5th Avenue, 2 blocks from Rockefeller Center, 2 blocks from Times Square. Absolutely perfect location for visiting midtown Manhattan. Had a great time and the hotel could not have been better.

Great location and close to the best parts of NYC

Great location

Stayed here during the NYC marathon. Rates were higher than normal because of the event but all the hotels are higher during this time. Great location to theater district, central park, and food. Room was small but clean and updated. Breakfast was great. All the hotel staff were friendly and efficient.

Very comfortable and relaxing.

Considering NY city, this place was quite and relaxing. The breakfast menu was good and free. The room was very clean and cozy. The place was on 5th Ave center of the city.

AMAZING hotel

We stayed at a hotel in another part of the city before this hotel and once we got to this hotel we wished we had stayed here the whole time. The people at the front desk were so friendly and helpful. It was a very chaotic day with the Columbus Day Parade going on outside the hotel but the hotel staff managed to allow us to check in 3 hours early. The hotel was in a great location we only walked a couple blocks to: time square, empire state building, bryant park, and rockefeller center. Another perk they will keep your luggage after checking out, our flight didnt leave until 5 and they happily stored it for us. I will definitly stay here again!!

Great hotel. Great Location

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and loved the central location. It is truly walking distance to everything! The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very well maintained. It seemed that everything in our room was either brand new or very well taken care of. The breakfast area is very small as many have mentioned but there are so many places to eat right next door that it didn't really matter. We are already planning another trip there for Christmas and will definitely stay at this hotel!

Great spot!

This hotel was much better than I expected. The location was great; close to everything and just a few blocks to Times Square. The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the price was right. Glad we booked.

Better than Boutique

I've stayed at some of the "boutique" hotels this past year and was not sure what to expect when I booked Holiday Inn Express in Manhattan. But I went with it strictly on price. I have to say, I was impressed with this stay. If this hotel can always beat or match some of the boutique hotels in the area, I would always opt for this location. The room was great (small, but it's NYC) and very clean. The location is excellent. And the free breakfast...I'm sold on this place.

Good for a short stay

This is a great hotel for a one or two night stay. It is right off Times Square (10 minute walk) and a quick cab/bus ride to Penn Station. It is right off Fifth Avenue, so you can catch alot of buses at 45th/5th (right next to the hotel) going downtown. It's a few blocks from a subway that will take you all over the city. The room was clean, the people at the front desk were helpful. On a negative note, the lobby is extremely cramped and crowded, as well as understaffed. It was difficult to get our luggage from the door to the elevator even though there was hardly anyone in the lobby! The room was very small. The free breakfast was a bit messy, and there was barely room to eat - the tables were small and uncomfortably crowded. If you need a one or two night stay in midtown, this is a great place to stay for the money. If you want luxury, or are staying for more than two nights, go somewhere else.

Perfect Location!

An excellent choice for a budget traveler. Clean and modern rooms. Smallish but quiet. Elevators are slow in the morning and the breakfast area is crowded, but the location and price make up for that!

Bargain Price, Small Room

We would stay there again but the room was very small. Great service, Nice Breakfast, Clean and Safe.
