This hotel was close to the highways but the room was quiet. The restaurant next door was convenient and reasonable.

OK for price, near to downtown Hartford

Hotel was as described in other reviews. It was clean and tidy, average breakfast, but for the price I couldn't complain. Staff were very helpful.

GREAT HOTEL!!

customer service was really good. our room was not ready when we arrived so we got the queen suit same thing we payed for but it was suit.that was wonderful very pleased with everything house keeping came at 10:45am was not ready so she said she will come back just everything went excellent beds are so comfortable shower was great.. over all very happy..

Pleasantly Surprised

We were pleasantly surprised with the amenities at the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel was clean, staff very friendly and helpful, and the room very comfortable and clean. The best part was the healthy breakfast choices they had. This area was also very clean.

The service was excellent. They really tried hard to make us feel welcome there, and the warm breakfast buffet was an awesome addition.

Great Hotel

I found the staff to be very friendly and the complementary breakfast is ideal for when you are in a hurry. Access to their guest computer and the Internet was a lifesaver for me when I needed to use it for business. When going to my workshop I found the off and on ramps to I91 very convenient to downtown Hartford. I was very grateful for free parking when I was in and out of the hotel for various activities. I know parking fees at other hotels would have been very costly and annoying. I do not only recommend this hotel but I will stay there again if ever I'm in the Hartford area.

Convenient and Affordable

I've been staying here for the past 3 years when I come up to visit my daughter at the University of Hartford. It's a 10-15 minute ride from campus and much nicer than the hotel closest to the school. Rooms are large, clean and well appointed. Staff is generally friendly. The breakfast is an added value and convenience.

Excellent Hotel

Cant be beaten for the price paid, highly recommended!!!

Not too bad....

I can't really complain about the room. It was very comfortable, clean, the beds were great, loved how they had two kinds of pillows on each bed. The shower was another story. I could get cold or hot water but no happy medium. The breakfast in the morning was a typical breakfast you would get in a hotel. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. The cinnamon rolls were good...not the best in the world like they'd said, but to each his or her own. It seemed a little chaotic where breakfast was held, other guests were rude and pushing us out of the way, but that's not the hotel's fault. The only other complaint I can make about the hotel is that it took a very long time for us to check in because there was only one person behind the desk, and the carpets looked very dirty and dingy, which ruined the overall look of the place. Other than that I thought it was a nice place and I would stay there again if I were in town. Plus the price wasn't bad at all.

Clean hotel, friendly service, cookies and coffee at night was a plus, nice variety with free breakfast, nice pool area, plenty of free parking.
