Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 31Boston in October
The hotel was in a part of town that was hard to get to, had terrible roads, and looked like an industrial park on its way to oblivion. The welcome from the desk clerk was lukewarm. There was mold in the shower. I'd rather have paid a few dollars more and stayed in a nicer place. My whole family stayed here before a cruise the next day...a total of 8 people.

We found this hotel to be an excellent choice for us: nearby restaurants, clean, safe, quiet, with a breakfast provided.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 31good, basic hotel
Although it was a little bit out of the way, this hotel was fine for us. Rooms were quiet and clean, and having a free hot breakfast in the morning was a bonus. Right around the corner from the hotel was a shopping center with several big stores and an Olive Garden and Applebees, so getting dinner was easy. For $5, we got a shuttle from the hotel to the airport, and that was very convenient for us, as we had to leave at 4 am in the morning. If you just need the basics, this hotel is a good choice.

Only problem with hotel is that the 10 minute walk to the T is through a shady neighborhood and I would not advise a woman to walk alone at night from T to hotel.

The hotel was in a great location to go sightseeing in Boston. It has easy access to and from the freeway and is a few blocks from the subway.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 31Nice hotel but...
The stay at this hotel was alright. The continental breakfast was a great added bonus and the cleanliness of the room was great too. But, one of the people in my party (who was staying at the hotel too) had their car broken into, during the day in the hotel parking lot. The hotel staff stated that this has happened over a dozen times in the last few weeks but they neglected to warn us at check in. They then stated "well there's a sign at the desk that says don't leave valueables in your car." Which I know is technically enough of a warning but if it's happened more than a dozen times lately wouldn't it be nice to also warn verbally. Either way, the continental breakfast staff and the cleaning crew were very friendly but we wouldn't stay there again.

My MiniVan was broken into by smashing the passenger side window with a huge rock. They were after my GPS, because I had GPS holder on my windshield. Once this happened, all the sudden I'm told that this is common here, and there was a letter posted at the check-in desk, but no one ever pointed that out to me. If you stay here, remove all valuables from your car and make sure your GPS is also removed as well as your GPS holder. They ended up missing my GPS, but stole our iPod's. My stay at this hotel was overall good. The outside is kind of run down, and my room had a strange smell, but overall, it was okay.

Nice hotel, friendly personnel. But why would you have to ask for a phone tu be turned on in the room? If you're checked in to a certain room shouldn't the phone be on automatically? I think so!

This was my mother and daughters first time in Boston, and Holiday inn Express made it wonderful. All of the workings were wonderful. They gave us wonderful directions to places that we waned to see in Boston. There were fresh hot cookies every night at 6 p.m. Everyone who worked there was so nice and friendly they all took a moment out of what they were going to talk to my 3 1/2 year old daughter. There was a very good breakfast everyday. There was coffee, tea, hot chocolate every night. I will tell everyone that is going to Boston to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. The room was so nice.
