decent hotel

stayed at the holiday inn express boston over the Easter weekend, the amenities were nice,nothing special but for the price we were not looking for special... the area was a tad rundown but a 5 minute walk to the train and 4 stops into downtown Boston was definately convenient ..wouldn't want to come back to the hotel late at night by subway but 9 pm was fine plus you could always take a cab if you're leery. the breakfast buffet was ordinary but for free why complain? the front desk staff was informative,approachable and extremely helpful A+ to them for the price i would recommend just a little rundown in the area it is located

Good place

It was a little tricky to find, but after you get your bearings, a comfortable and reasonable find in an expensive city.

Very Nice!

The staff was very helpful. There was an issue with the reservation and they were very accomodating and resolved the situation. The rooms, although small, were clean and had everthing we needed. We were even able to obtain a cork screw to open a bottle of wine. The free continental breakfast was wonderful. I only wish we know how good it was from day one. We loved the location because we could walk to the T-stop (subway) in about 10 minutes. Parking is free - a big plus in Boston! Definitely will stay there again.

Not convenient, poor neighborhood

The hotel bathroom was unusually small and neighboring guests were very LOUD. The walk to the metro (T) was only about 5 minutes, but the surrounding area is very run down. I would not walk outside the hotel past dark.

Excellent Stay

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was excellent and very knowledgeable and helpful. We enjoyed it so much I'm planning on booking this same hotel hopefully in July if they have availability. I go to Boston 6 or 7 times a year and I know I have the hotel I want to stay with on my visits.

Great Location

I found very important to move by subway in Boston. Of the hotels reviewed, this was the most convenient for the price!

Great room for the money

The fresh cookies at 6pm was a nice touch and the service was excellent. As soon as I walked in the door they were waiting for me.

Excellant Customer Service

The room was great and the staff very friendly and courteous. On my next trip to Boston I will be staying at the Holiday Inn Express Boston!

The people working at this hotel were extremely friendly. It was my first time in Boston and they were very helpful. And the breakfast was GREAT!

Good Hotel

Great place to stay if your looking to go to Boston on a budget. The surrounding neighborhood is very dark, and its about a five minute walk to/from the closest T station. The breakfast each day was great and the staff at the hotel was always willing to help with whatever we needed. Overall, this hotel was well worth it!
