This was out welcome to Africa moment. We took a taxi from the airport through the relative craziness of afternoon traffic in Dar, not really sure what we were going to find at our hotel. We got to the hotel and were immediately greeted with a warm towel to wash our hands and face and a glass of mango juice. Wow, don't get that service many places. That sort of service was repeated throughout our stay with polite english speaking staff, an incredible work out facility, beautiful rooftop restaurant and bar, halfway street overlook - really it set the tone for the wonderful considerate people we found throughout Tanzania. Great way to start our trip. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
