conflicting information between Hotel.com site and the actual hotel

We booked on line with Hotels.com to stay at the Holiday in Chesapeake House because it said that the check in time was 12 pm and that worked well for our schedule. Upon arriving to check in at 1 p.m., we were told to come back in 2 hours as our room was not ready and check-in was not until 3 p.m. The front desk person lacked in personality and made it seem like we were inconviencing her because we need a room to get ready to attend an event we were to attend. After surpassing the front desk person and getting the general manager involved, we were given a room. My confirmation sheet from hotels.com stated the check-in time was 12 p.m. and even after presenting that to the front desk person, I was made to feel like it was incorrect and my fault. The hotel itself was very clean and our room very comfortable. Customer service at the front desk needs to be improved though.

Check-in staff were very accomodating
