Average Room a bit dated

Average hotel in a good location. Priced okay due to renovation but breakfast or anything beyond the room was priced quite high. Room was okay but a bit dated and "tired". I would stay there again.

Not worth the money

We stayed at two Hilton's during my recent trip, one in Richmond and this one in DC. The Richmond one was fantastic, and considerably cheaper. Hilton Washington was overpriced, the room was tiny and the view awful. We didn't even have a garbage can in our room or bathroom; we had to request one. The construction going on wasn't much of a bother, but parking for the hotel was almost 30 dollars a day, and there was no discounted rate for hotel guests. Plus, it was not exactly conveniently located near the metro stations, and the surrounding area, though not terrible, offered little in the way of food and entertainment. For all it's pomp and showiness, the hotel doesn't live up to expectations. I'd find somewhere else.

Nice remodling

The hotel has done an excellent job remodling the rooms! While there is still construction, and the parking is horrendous due to that, the hotel was fantastic inside. The service was also very good! They always seemed to go above and beyond.

Wonderful place to stay in D.C

Really nice hotel, very sweet, nice and accomodative people there. Great beds, only thing that needs improving is bathroom and air vents need to be cleaned. But overall a perfect place to rest after long days walking around D.C. The Teen agers were happy with the hotel too. We got our money's worth and a then some!

OK hotel

Nothing fancy about the room. Lobby area nice. Beds were quite small. Not satisfactory service in reception. Breakfast buffet rather small compared to many other hotels, but what they had was good.

Great steal!

Great new decor in the renovated rooms with spa like bathroom. Super comfy bed and soft bedding and goosedown blanket, the perfect combo after a long day of siteseeing in DC.

Nice hotel

Hotel is excellent, nice neighborhood with lot's going on very nearby, and very near to Dupont Circle Metro station. Just be aware that hotel parking is $28.00 per day, and internet access is currently $12.95 per 24-hour period. No complaints, highly recommend.

Needs improvement

Nice hotel everything was clean and people very helpfull but I was surprised that I had to pay to park my car in the hotel garage. I never heard of that before... what a rip off. Breakfast was also way too expensive, it was a lot cheaper to eat somewhere else. Beside these inconviences the hotel was fine just don't park there and don't eat there too.

Outstanding customer service

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were all helpful and friendly. The location is excellent. Although the pool area is under construction, we were never disturbed by construction or construction noise.

Not Recommended

Staff was rude and not helpful. Room didnt have toileteries, had half used coffee. Had to pay for additional night's stay despite cancellation well in advance. Not recommended

Needs improvement

Furniture was old, bathroom was small and the toilet seat would not stay up, some staff were not friendly.
