    It was a very comfortable hotel with good service for the price we paid. It was a long way from the airport or downtown. They dont have a shuttle so it was a good thing we had rented a car.

Location. The Hilton San Diego Mission Valley hotel is located one-half mile from Mission Valley malls in San Diego, Calif. The hotel is two miles north of Balboa Park and Old Town. Qualcomm Stadium, home of the San Diego Chargers, is two miles east of the property.

Hotel Features. This hotel's marble-floored lobby features historic missions murals and a winding staircase with brass banisters. Dining is offered at STISH which derives its name from the combination of "Steak" and "Fish." The restaurant serves mainly seafood and steak cuisine and offers a variety of traditional and non-traditional dishes utilizing only fresh, local ingredients. The executive lounge is closed on Friday afternoon to Sunday evening. This hotel offers 20,000 square feet of function space that accommodates up to 300 people. A business center offers fax, photocopy and print services. Wireless Internet access is also available. A fitness center contains cardiovascular and weight-training equipment, and free weights. A spa tub borders the hotel's outdoor pool. A concierge assists with sightseeing, and event and dining arrangements.

Guestrooms. This hotel offers 350 guestrooms furnished with upholstered chairs and matching ottomans. Hilton Serenity Beds feature pillowtop mattresses, down duvets and hypoallergenic down pillows. Tiled bathrooms are stocked with Crabtree & Evelyn toiletries, and contain granite countertops and shower/tub combinations. High-speed Internet access is available for a fee. Executive rooms include continental breakfast.

Expert Tip. The Fashion Valley Center, near the hotel, houses Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue and Williams-Sonoma, while the Mission Valley Center contains Loehman's, Nordstrom Rack and a 20-screen movie theater.
