    For my vacation to Costa Rica, I stayed at the Hilton Papagayo resort and spa. The thing about this hotel thst made my stay so enjoyable was the hotel staff. They all went above and beyond any other hotel I have visited. The staff made sure I was enjoying my entire vacation. They are very courtious and friendly, and did an outstanding job of making me feel truly comfortable and relaxed. The concierge service at the front was amazing! The representative at the front helped me arrange transportation for my entire trip, sometimes with little notice, and were even able to set me up on private tours with a private driver soI could enjoy everything without the hassle of atime table. Overall, this was by far one of the most enjoyable vacations I have ever had.

    Wow, we had an amazing stay. The hotel was nice, very modern, well cared for and extremely beautiful. The staff was amazingly courteous and the amentities were wonderful. The one downside, if any, is that you had to park your car in a garage and move around the property in shuttles. The hills were steep so walking tired you easily. Also, it is a pretty remote location so recommend renting a car (plus it is well worth it to see some of the country on your own). Costa Rica was amazing to us and the Hilton was one reason why!

Location. Located on a calm bay in the Gulf of Papagayo in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, the Hilton Papagayo Costa Rica Resort & Spa stands near Curu National Wildlife Refuge and Las Baulas National Marine Park, where the largest colony of Pacific Ocean leatherback turtles nest.

Hotel Features. Two on-site restaurants, two snack bars and two bars serve fare that ranges from Costa Rican cuisine to theme buffets and spa cuisine. Fax and photocopy services are offered at the front desk, and high-speed Internet access is available in public areas for a fee. Recreational amenities include two outdoor pools and a fitness center with a sauna, exercise equipment and a spa tub. A lighted tennis court provides night play, and a spa offers massage and beauty services. Activities such as aerobics classes, dance lessons, biking and billiards are offered on site. Fishing, motorized water craft and water skiing are available for a fee. Children have the opportunity to participate in supervised activities through the on-site youth program.

Guestrooms. This resort features 202 guestrooms including two-room bungalows that are decorated in neutral tones with dark wood and wicker furnishings, and polished stone floors. All rooms are air conditioned and feature ceiling fans, flat-panel televisions with cable service, in-room safes that accommodate laptops, and minibars. Bathrooms include bathtubs and showers.

Expert Tip. An on-site diving company offers excursions to Catalina Island, which is home to moray eels, sea turtles, white-tip sharks and giant manta rays. Impressive bull sharks may be found during Bat Island dives. Night dives and PADI-certified courses are available. All rooms are smoke-free. The following fees and deposits are charged by the property at either check-in or check-out.
