Lousy food, lousy service

Don't stay here unless you want horrible food and incompetent staff. We paid $100 for dinner, and it was probably one of the worst of my life.

Very nice and convenient too

Very pleased with our stay. This was just an overnight near the airport, but everyone was friendly, helpful and the room was very comfortable. This is a small thing, but I don't see anywhere else to leave this feedback. The beds were very comfortable, made up with lovely but heavy comfortors. However there were no blankets, so the choice was sheets that were not quite enough covers or comfortor that was a bit too much. thanks

Great hotel if you don't mind the airplanes flying over your head

I really enjoyed the hotel itself. The staff was impeccable, the rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless. I had a room on the 7th floor (top) and about every 5 minutes a plane would fly directly overhead, sounded as if it would hit the building it was so close. My view was of the landing strip of MIA. It's too bad it's location is where it is, otherwise I would give this hotel a perfect score. Perhaps if you were on a lower floor facing the entrance, there wouldn't be as much noise, but who knows!

Pros and Cons

The people at the front desk changed very frequently, and not all were equipped to man the desk. We waited quite a while to check in because the person in front of us had all kinds of issues with room assignement. He was given a new room and came storming back because that room had not even been cleaned - and we were checking in after 10:00 pm. We waited a while for the shuttle from the airport, but the driver was nice. Breakfast was convenient and very fresh. Nice selection.

the room was very nice! we enjoyed our stay and would definately recommend it to friends and family if they ever visit Florida.

Great room for the money

The hotel and staff were very good however, we arrived at the airport at around 9:00 pm and called for the shuttle, were told it was on it's way, called again, were told the same thing. Upon the 3rd call, 1 hour later, we were told the drive went home sick and t o catch a cab (at the hotels expense). We were very tired after a long day of traveling and were not happy. The cab driver said he needed to stop for gas (which made our trip even longer). The shuttle was on time in the morning (which was much appreciated).

Great hotel and service

Loved everything about our stay. Hotel was a good value for the money. Nice rooms and pleasant and helpful staff. Our TV didn't work but was repaired promptly after we called the front desk. The shuttle arrived as we requested at 3:30 AM to take us the the airport. I would certainly stay again.

Exellent accomodations..!!!!!!!

Place was beautiful..!! exceptionally clean and 'plushy'..!! We loved the cookies at the front desk...!! In the dining room, the food was very good too..!! great atmosphere.. and conveniently located near MIA.. the shuttle guy was there at four a.m. with a cheery attitude and a safe drive to airport..!! If we ever fly from Miami again, I would definitely stay there..

Friendly Staff...Comfortable Stay

I had booked several rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Miami Airport West for family and friends as my son was getting married in the Miami area. The front desk was so friendly, and always spoke as we entered the lobby. They had conversations with us concerning the wedding events, and seemed truly interested. The housekeeping staff was always smiling and greeted us in the hallways. They were prepared to give us extra towels, coffee etc as requested. I couldn't have been more pleased!!!! The food in the restaurant area was also a delight!
