Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 23Great Room Size and Very Comfortable Bed
Room was huge and bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed the fact that the hotel is with the 21st century and has flatscreen tvs. Definitely recommend!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 6 of 23Reliable
As always the Hilton Garden Inn was comfortable, courteous and clean. The instant Starbucks is a great feature. Good location if you drive. If walking...take a taxi, the 10 bucks is worth it. At least the hospital is right there!! It IS close to Albany social attractions, and historical attractions. This is my 3rd time staying there, and it never disappoints.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 8 of 23Excellent Service
I arrived at hotel at 10:15AM Saturday morning. The desk clerk cheerfully checked me in and gave me room key. Said I was all set & could go to my room anytime. I was very grateful, because the advertised check in time is 4PM. How wonderful and no extra fee for early check in. Everything about the room on the 7th floor was excellent, I asked for a quiet location and it was. I had such a pleasant stay, I booked a 2nd night. They tried to charge nearly double the Saturday night rate, when I'd decided to go elsewhere or call Hotels.com, they found the same lower rate would be ok afterall. Then I forgot to ask for quiet again, and on this 2nd night all the rooms nearby were rented out and seemed quite nosiy until 3AM, with doors opening and closing, people talking, tv's on. Oh well my fault. The hotel was only about a 3rd full they could have put people elsewhere, and let me have another quiet night if I'd asked. I would definitely stay here again.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 23Comfy bed
The duvets were too heavy. the air conditioner was noisy, and the cable attachment to the tv blinked red and green on the wall all night. In five nights, the maids never replaced any towels (they just took them away each day). On our last day they only made one of the beds! The hotel bar was nothing to write home about. I don't think there was any alcohol in my drink, and the food was what I call preteen grub. On the plus side, parking was great ($10/night), everything was very new and in excellent condition, the mattress was very comfortable, the desk staff was very nice, and I felt quite safe here (which is not easy to do in much of Albany). Great Starbucks on the first floor-- very nice people and drinks.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 23Great Hotel
This hotel is a great addition to the Albany Medical Center. Its proximity to the hospital can't be beat. It is also a quick walk to Washington Park for some fresh air or to Lark Street where there are plenty of great restaurants. The Starbuck's in the lobby makes getting up a little easier. The rooms are comfortable and large and the bathrooms are clean and new.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 12 of 23Excellent hotel AND great room for the money
Right across from Albany Medical Center, 2 blocks from Washington Park and Lark St. Very clean; very responsive staff. The Recovery Room Sports Bar and Starbucks in the hotel are huge pluses.

Trip Type: Romance Review 13 of 23Nice Hotel, Bad Service...
The hotel itself was nice, however if you want to park, it will cost you $10 a day to park in their parking lot. The television set is right next to the adjoining room door so if you have a "neighbor", they can hear it loud and clear. If you have to turn on the HVAC unit, then forget the tv, it will be too loud to your neighbor. Forget hotel sympathy, they won't give it to you..
