Trip Type: Family Review 1 of 26Good Value in the Mountains
We have stayed at the Hi Country Haus twice now. Both condo units were clean, and well kept. They weren't modern and trendy, but fun ski type condos. We went both times over the Labor Day holidays and could not beat the price! If you expect five star, fancy lodgings, this probably isn't for you. If you want a great place to stay for a family or couple, near Winterpark (you can walk to most restaurants and shopping) with kitchens and a reasonable price, then try the Hi Countray Haus.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 26Almost Prime Time
The rooms were clean and spacious. Once we were there we did not see any sign of hotel staff anywhere. That was unusual. We had a nice living room area with small kitchenette, 2 bedrooms and a bath. For the price we paid it was certainly spacious. The one downfall of the whole thing was the matresses on the beds. I tried to sleep on them but could not. I wound up moving to the couch in the living room and that was only slightly better. Had I been able to get a good night's sleep my attitude toward this stay would improve considerably.

Trip Type: Family Review 3 of 26Good place to stay
We enjoyed our stay at Hi Country Haus very much. We loved the quiet setting in the wooded area, even though it was not far from the highway. Our condo was not very well decorated and it was obviously several decades old, but it was very clean. We didn't come to view the condo, we came to see the mountains, so it was fine. My only complaint was that the refrigerator was way too small and didn't hold much food, especially the freezer. We had to buy food each day instead of stocking up.

Good deal for the price! Nothing fancy, but it still has all the essentials.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 26Quiet condo with in-town location
Condo complex is back from the road in a natural setting, but in town, within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Hiking trails and ski resorts are within a few minutes drive. Ask for an "updated unit" to make sure that kitchen, bathroom, and furnishings are in good condition.

The condo was clean and neat. Beds were comfortable, would not recommend the sleeper sofa, even for kids. Overall, good place to stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 7 of 26Wonderful Condominium
Three of us went up for an extended weekend, and this was the perfect place. Not ten steps out the front door was a creek, and in the next clearing over, was a picnic table and porch swing. The pool that was a short walk away was only open Friday to Sunday (off season hours), and was a bit chilly, but we went in the fall, so no big deal, and there is a great playground right next too it. The galley kitchen was a bit narrow for two to work in, but great for lots of giggles while trying. Our next trip to Winter Park will definitely be to this place.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 26Very Cozy room
Our room was great. The fire place created a very cozy environment. The studio room had plenty of sleeping space and a nice little kitchen that was good to have for a long weekend. Being 5 minutes from the Winter Park resort was great. The finishes were a little outdated, but the room was well worth the money.

We enjoyed the stay at this property during September as it was quiet convenient and very cozy. Clean with staff who were willing to go the extra mile if we had asked them.

This unit was extremely dirty. The carpet was filthy with large spots throughout the entire unit. The sheets were so old they wouldn't even stay on the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on.

Trip Type: Family Review 15 of 26DIRECTIONS and KEY!!!!!
we arrived VERY LATE and so got intructions to pick up key in box- most unfortunately- the box had a combination lock - it took FOUR PHONECALLS/VOICE MAILS/MSSG LOOPS to get combo to get key for room wie paid for! numbering was erratic- buiding 6 was next to bldgs 14,4,26 and across from C- of course! I got into room by trying 4 rooms on the floor (no lights and impossible to see @ night)-hmmmmmmm no reason this essential info couldn't have been communicated in an email. stove in need of refurbishment (like $5 knobs from walmart) otherwise- nice and convenient too.
