Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 1 of 33prince of a hotel
The Prince is a very nice hotel. It's not in the middle of the Waikiki action but it's within walking distance to good restaurants, the beach and the mall. They have a shuttle that will take you to the middle of the action and that was nice. my only disappointment was the restaurant was very expensive so we had to go out to find a reasonably priced meal and my Prince Club card didn't include breakfast with the room which it does with their hotels in Japan.

room and amenities were very nice . My only other comment is that we were misinformed about the availability of free shuttle to the airport , but the front desk was able to arrange for a fee

Trip Type: With Friends Review 4 of 33Hospitality at its best!! Loved the location.
Great location. Tucked away from touristy Waikiki, but close enough to access everything. They have a convenient shuttle that drops you off in 3 locations on the Waikiki strip. The hot towels when you check-in is a nice touch. The best part is that even after check-out, they'll let you use their fitness center to shower and wash up if you have an evening flight. I would definitely stay at this hotel again during my next visit to Oahu. Thank you Hawaii Prince!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 5 of 33Nice hotel but showing its age...
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hawaii Prince, even if it was just overnight. My only comment is to note that the hotel as a whole is starting to show some wear and tear and may be in need of a renovation sometime in the near future. Otherwise, it's a lovely showpiece at the entrance to Waikiki and a great place to stay if shopping and fun in the sun are top of mind during your stay.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 33Little aloha for the locals
I was disappointed with the level of service I received upon check-out (check-in service was good). The front desk person did not ask if I enjoyed my stay nor did she say that they hoped we would return. I am wondering if this is because I am a local and only stayed one night (for the 4th of July fireworks). This fact should not matter especially since Hawaii's tourism industry is down about 30%. I used to receive better service in my previous stays. I do, however, want to say how much we enjoyed our dinner at the Hakone buffet -- the food was really good as was the service.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 33Good Location
The hotel is in an excellent location particularly if you are doing business in Honolulu. It is convenient to the financial district and the airport. They upgraded us to a 32nd floor room with excellent views of the harbor, ocean and sunset. The new first floor lounge area was nice too. There are three good restaurants on the same block, Chart House, Red Robin & Outback Steakhouse and many more within five blocks.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 33Outstanding hotel
This hotel was great. Everyone at the front desk were very friendly and helped me whatever way they could. Room service was great. There was a gift shop in the lobby and a great restaurant on the third floor. They even supplied beach towels. On the day we had to check out, they kept our suitcases for the day and still provided beach towels for the day. They even let us use the fitness room to shower and freshen up before our plane left at 11 o'clock at nite. Even the bell hops were great and very cheerful. I would definitely stay there again. Very impressive and a great view from my room.
