Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 354Outstanding except for the toilet
Everything was wonderful except the toilet area did not seem very private, the door did not lock and had a floating frosted door

The only down side...we arrived @ 10:30pm, and our room still wasn't ready! Oh, wait, our room service section in our binder was ripped out, so we had no idea what the room service menu was. Other than that, it was fine. I think for the money, I would probably stay somewhere else...

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 354Very Modern Contemporary!
Beautiful hotel and rooms... one of the nicest I've stayed at! Not far from Gaslamp for nightlife but has 2 nightclubs of its own at the hotel, which is the reason I stayed there. Ironically enough, I didn't go to either one... 1. because the rumor that they put hotel guests ahead of others at the nightclubs is a joke; and 2. because the doorguy was very disrespectful and drunk and wouldn't let us in for no reason besides the fact I didn't want to buy a table and bottle at 12:45am! Was really irritated and when I told the conceirge lady at the hotel, she just shrugged her shoulders which really irritated me! So don't stay there thinking you will get any better treatment at the clubs. Also, it stays loud until 2-2:30am on the weekend, so don't plan on sleeping early!

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 354Might not be worth the "Hard Rock" experience
Checking in and out was great, along with curbside valet, though pricey. TV wouldn't work for more than half our 3 day stay, hot water didn't work one full day, loud parties all into the early morning. Onsite clubs were overpriced and very packed. Everything came with a price, and a very high one at that. Our first time at the hotel, and it was overall enjoyable, but not for economical reasons. Great location within walking distance of everything downtown, but we (wife and I) ultimately felt that we were just another typical guest and were treated according to what we paid for. Would recommend a different hotel(s) for next potential trip.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 9 of 354Hard Rock gave me a Hard ON
This place is awesome. The joy staying at Hard Rock in SD is only rivaled by the joy I had as a young boy riding my father's unicorn. We would soar high atop rainbows, marveling at the wondrous colors. I laughed all along the thrilling ride and my father's unicorn would continuously neigh with delight. We would close our eyes and let the skittles lightly rain onto our face. Every so often, we would open our mouths hoping a green one would fall in and tickle our tongues with sweet pleasure. At the end of our rides, we would embrace as the sun set behind the mountains to the east. The feeling I had when I held my father's unicorn is the same feeling I had when I left the Hard Rock Hotel.

Trip Type: Romance Review 11 of 354BEST HOTEL...WOULDNT SAY ANYWHERE ELSE IN SAN DIEGO
My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel this past weekend and had an amazing time. The staff overall did a great job answering any questions we had and made us feel really comfortable like they were catering to us! The hotel is in a perfect location too. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel, you won’t regret it.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 354Hard Rock Keeps Its Cool
In keeping with the tradition first established in Vegas, the Hard Rock Hotel maintains its status as a cool place to stay. Lobby bar and poolside bar on the balcony always end up as the happening post-party venues. Rooms are smartly designed and equipped. Comfy beds - great showers! Across the street from the SD convention center, one block from Petco Park and at the front door to the Gaslamp, the location can't be beat.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 354Great room; great location for conference center events. Rowdy guests.
I stayed during at the Hard Rock Hotel while attending a conference held at the convention center across the street. The location was extremely convenient, and the hotel room was modern, yet comfortable. Some of my fellow conference attendees staying at the hotel across the street complained about the noise from our hotel at night, but I found the rooms to shield out the noise while I was sleeping (though while awake, I did hear an occasionally "Woooooo!" out in the hallway. Overall, a fun, comfortable, and competitively priced stay.
