Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 1 of 295Great hotel with Rude guests!
The hotel was wonderful! My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves more than we could have imagined! The only downfall was the hotel guests next to our room in another suite had a party that lasted till 4am. Wouldn't mind other than the fact they stood in front of our door screaming and yelling, while running up and down the hallway! As soon as I notified the hotel staff, security was there within 5 minutes. Only problem was they didn't shut them down, they continued with the loud party! Other than that, we had such a great time, we stayed another night! (The rude guests had checked out!)

The decoration is modern and elegant. Loved the Spa. Location is excellent right at the gaslamp district.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 295Great Hotel in the Gaslamp
This is an awesome hotel. It can get a little noisy, seeing that it draws a younger crowd and it is in party central (the Gaslamp). That being said, I really enjoyed the hotel and it's character. Why else would somebody want to stay in the Gaslamp? The only negative about the hotel is our experience at the rooftop bar. We were kicked out of a certain area due to it being "service time" for bottle paying guests. My main problem was we were booted along with one other unrelated couple and there was not anybody who was paying for bottle service at the time. It was a vacant area. Overall, the hotel is excellent and is what you would expect at a Hard Rock establishment.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 295Perfect for the younger crowd
The Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, like its sister in Las Vegas, is a very hip and trendy spot. I was there on a Friday and Saturday night and the whole hotel seemed to be a party. Ten years ago, this would have appealed to me very much and I would've been living it up! Of course, I probably wouldn't have made it to work in the morning either. This was something of a nuisance as there were crowds of people in the lobby at night trying to get into the various clubs. Also, my room was on the third floor which has a poolside club also. This made it fairly noisy. Luckily, I was very tired and managed to fall alseep anyway. The room itself was very nice, although a bit on the small side. The location is great, being near the Gaslamp Quarter, Petco Park, the Convention Center, and many more of San Diego's attractions.

Trip Type: Romance Review 8 of 295Great atmosphere
The hotel was very clean a the staff were great! The complimentary bathrobes added a perfect touch to our stay. My only two issues are that the hotel seemed to have more of a party atmosphere, which made it difficult because we were on our honeymoon. Also, the bathrooms in the rooms are not very private. A glass door is not sufficient privacy...believe me. Other than that, I felt our stay was nice and would recommend the hotel to my single friends who like the "club" atmosphere.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 295A thriving party atmosphere
Lots of noise could be heard from the downstairs nightclub during the weekend nights...however this improved on the weekday nights

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 295Great Experience
Hotel has the perfect location. It is definitely one of the hot spots in the Gaslamp Quarter, as such it may not be ideal for families or couples looking for a quite hotel stay.
