Hard Rock Keeps Its Cool

In keeping with the tradition first established in Vegas, the Hard Rock Hotel maintains its status as a cool place to stay. Lobby bar and poolside bar on the balcony always end up as the happening post-party venues. Rooms are smartly designed and equipped. Comfy beds - great showers! Across the street from the SD convention center, one block from Petco Park and at the front door to the Gaslamp, the location can't be beat.

I stayed during at the Hard Rock Hotel while attending a conference held at the convention center across the street. The location was extremely convenient, and the hotel room was modern, yet comfortable. Some of my fellow conference attendees staying at the hotel across the street complained about the noise from our hotel at night, but I found the rooms to shield out the noise while I was sleeping (though while awake, I did hear an occasionally "Woooooo!" out in the hallway. Overall, a fun, comfortable, and competitively priced stay.

fun hotel

love the Hard Rock chain. It makes me feel like a kid again! I always have fun here and the service is excellent.

Great Vegas type feel hotel

We had a great time staying at this hotel. Has alot of amenities, nice club/lounges and great location!! Walking distance to everything.

Very hip

Loved this hotel. The rooms were so clean, decorated beautifully and the location of the hotel was perfect for the Gaslamp area. My only complaint was that the food and drinks were pricey and for the price could have been better. Surrounding bars and restaurants had better food and drinks and were less expensive. But still a hotel definitely worth staying at. Very luxurious feel.

The Sunday afternoon pool party was loud and not kid friendly

Hard Rock - Really Rocks

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego. It has a fantastic vibe and I felt a bit like a rockstar. The ammenities, room decor, etc. were just spot on in making you feel that way. With that said, you should know before booking there that this hotel has some of the best parties in town. And party attendees are totally partying it up like rockstars. The hotel has a party on Sunday afternoon called Rehab. It's an afternoon party that goes into the evening. A lot people who attend the party also stay at the hotel and party in their rooms late into the night. On that Sunday night I was awakened a few times (2:30 AM) by others rockin' it like rockstars. It's a young crowd who may not pay the best attention to the fact that people need to get some sleep. I will say the hotel did do a great job of taking care of the noise issues in a timely manner when made aware of it. Because I liked everything else the hotel had to offer, I would consider going back - while knowing there is a high chance of rockstart partying on Sundays.

Good Hotel

Overall, very satisfied with my stay at the Hard Rock San Diego. Staff was very friendly and hotel was clean. Great location as well. Downsides: Always a party at the pool. If you don't want to party at the pool, don't go to the Hard Rock. Parking was valet only and expensive per day. Be sure and ask for rates.
