We usually stay at a big luxury hotel, which is right down the street, but it's gotten way too pricey for my blood. So we gave the Hampton Inn a try. We were VERY pleased. The front desk checked us in early, like 11 a.m., which was very convenient. The hotel personnel don't have quite the polish as the luxury hotel, but they were kind. Upon check-in, we were thrilled with our room because it was gorgeous and fresh. The view was a parking lot, but, to be honest, I think the hotel is surrounded by parking lots because it's close to the convention center. The included breakfast was maybe a 7.5 on a scale of 10, but that's not bad for free. The only negative is there's no bar, but there's lots of hot spots in the area.

We had a pretty good view from our room we could see the river. The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and always willing to help.

loved the location, walking distance to heinz field, "the strip", had a king bed, i geuss was a suite, very spacious and clean. will definitely return.

For the price, I thought the room was very nice, loved the easy access free parking IN THE CITY. Made it easy. Walking distance to the Strip District and other interesting areas. The breakfast buffet was so good that it was quite crowded. I've stayed at other hotels in Pittsburgh. This one rates above most.
