Clean, comfortable and convenient to stadium.

For the convenience of staying relatively close to downtown State College on a game weekend, the Hampton worked very well! We were quite pleased overall. The room was clean and very comfortable. Staff was courteous and helpful too. WiFi was easy enough to get onto. Lobby is cozy with the fireplace and lots of seating. Breakfast filled us up sufficiently. The location is walkable to the stadium - which is nice if you are meeting up at someone else's tailgate party. Walking after dark is a problem. My only wish would be for some kind of shuttle service to downtown after dark (it's a little scary to walk along side busy Route 26 and the long way up past the Furnace Mansion and across campus is a little too far to walk in dark of night. Taxis are hard to get a hold of and there are no public buses out that way -especially on weekends. Safe transportation into town and back would make this hotel perfect! Even if it were offered at an additional charge, I'm sure guests would appreciate not having to worry about parking downtown (and/or lining up their own designated drivers). I would definitely stay here again because the hotel is so reliably comfortable and clean. And the lion chocolates were a nice tough too!

Pleasantly surprised - very comfortable and clean. Nice roomy bathroom, great pressure in the hot shower. Products provided in the bathroom, plus available in lobby (my son forgot his toothbrush!). Easy in and out since we stayed on the first floor.

Great Location - Reasonable price

Overall, it was a good experience. The location is convenient and the price fair. The room was very clean. (It was to be a non-smoking room, but someone had recently smoked while occupying it -- it had a lingering odor of tobacco.) It was a little noisy with children running up and down the halls early morning and late into the night, but it is summer and vacation season.

Great for families

Neat, clean and well managed. Nice outdoor pool and great free breakfast.

Outstanding Hotel

The room was clean, mattresses were very comfortable,great distance to Penn State, and the people were very friendly and accomodating.We also loved having breakfast available and included. Thank you.
