College sites such as Beaver Stadium, the Bryce Jordan Center, and Medlar Field are all with one-quarter mile. Shopping at Nittany Mall is within three miles. Snow skiing and snowboarding are available at the Tussey Mountain Ski Area within five miles.
Hotel Features. The on-site restaurant serves a complimentary breakfast buffet each morning and also serves lunch and dinner. The on-site sport grill serves casual meals. The hotel also offers a seasonal outdoor pool and discounted rates at a nearby fitness center.
Complimentary coffee, newspapers and use of a microwave oven are available in the lobby. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in public areas throughout the hotel.
Guestrooms. The 120 guestrooms on three stories feature complimentary wireless Internet access and include cable television. All rooms receive complimentary daily newspapers. Room service is available during limited hours. Bathrooms offer extra towels and complimentary toiletries. Extra bed linens are available in-room as well. Refrigerators are available upon request.
Expert Tip. Not too many college towns use the nickname "Happy Valley" as State College does. Sports commentators even use the nickname when referring to Penn State featured in athletic events. State College also has a well-known music and nightlife scene. Otto's Pub & Brewery was recently named by BeerAdvocate.com as one of the nation's best places to stop-in for a beer.
