Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 48Parking a little strange
Directions to the parking lot were somewhat convoluted. Would not recommend driving into the city to this hotel--far too complicated trying to avoid the Holland Tunnel.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 14 of 48Great for the money
I usually stay in much more expensive hotels in New York when traveling with my husband, but traveling by myself I am happy to spend less. The Hampton Inn is a block away from a fancier place that we usually stay in and actually pretty comparable in room and bathroom size. It's super convenient to the core Soho shopping area (about 2 blocks) and to the subway uptown. We stayed on the fourth floor, and it was quite noisy because the hotel is located right on the entrance to the Holland Tunnel, so there is major traffic heading to New Jersey all day and evening. I would definitely ask for a room on a much higher floor. The air conditioner was also really noisy. The staff is bare bones, so for example I had to wait a long time for my stored luggage on departure day, but everyone is really sweet and attentive.
