Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 4 of 181Not the Ritz, but for a quick stay, it's OK
The staff tries very hard to be helpful. The hotel is among the best of those in a dismal area. It is, however, located just between a fork of Freeway Routes 5 and 405, about 25 miles north of LAX. The bed springs were way too flexible at the borders, but laying down on the mattress was reasonably comfortable. Some furniture showed a little wear, but nothing to complain about. TV was great. Rugs appeared clean - I walked around in white socks without them getting black. Bathtub drain was a bit slow, but water pressure was terrific. A.C. unit was in good shape and relatively quiet. And...the price was reasonable.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 5 of 181Meets a Basic Need
I had read the reviews prior to going to this hotel, so I knew what to expect. We stayed at the hotel because it was close to an event we were attending. The bed was squeaky and fairly uncomfortable, the shower/bathroom needs to be updated, and the hotel staff could be more helpful. The only thing that people had said positive was the pool, and unfortunately it was closed for repairs. If you just need a room, it was fine. I wouldn't want to spend at great deal of time there.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 181A dump, but cheap and neighborhood has good food
My room was an absolute dump. The shower and sink did not drain, the ice maching nearest the room has been broken for years and for some reason they refuse to fix it. No liners for the ice bin. No trash can in rest room. Shampoo bottles look they were recycling them from half used bottle. Grout is dirty, paint is peeling, door hinges were rusty in bathroom. Carpet is filthy. Sidewalks are cracked, broken and lifting in numerous locations, I'm surprised the insurance company to address this as well as the numerous potholes in the parking lot. Still, the pool is nice, rooms are reasonably priced and the surrounding area offers a nice selection of places to eat.

Decent place to stay, my only concern is that although it said internet access, we could not get a signal from our room.

the room itself needed lots of improvement. paint chipping and things just breaking in general. the only appetizing food for the continental breakfast was hard boiled eggs and a bowl of fruit loops. but overall you get what you pay for.

Trip Type: Business Review 9 of 181Needs Improvement
Pros: Cleaning staff were super friendly! Everytime they saw you they would smile and I thought that was superb. The room was clean and orderly. Great security. Anyone visiting the hotel has to pass the front desk in order to get to the rooms. No worries about some thief breaking in. The continental breakfast was decent. Cons: Even though security is great the downside is there is no elevator. So if you have a 2nd floor room and lots of luggage (which I did) then it's a pain to haul all that stuff. Staff didn't offer to help. Also, my room faced the busy street so I could hear the traffic going by. Pool wasn't available which was bummer. Internet only worked in the lobby but they do have a computer that can be used by hotel guest so that was good. It beat me hauling my laptop up and down the stairs.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 181Needs a Facelift
This hotel is badly in need of a face lift. It's got good bones, but is just plain worn out from years of abuse and substandard repairs. I've had decent rooms in this hotel and I've had horrible rooms. Last night I had a horrible room. I will never understand why the curtains are not cut or adapted for hvac clearance, forcing me to configure some type of "curtain retention device" to maintain privacy and still use the heat/ac. The sink and tub were both stopped up, the bathroom mirror was cracked, paint was peeling everywhere. Shampoo bottles look to have been recycled from half empty bottles, then "scotch taped" to seal them. The floor is a disgusting color, thankfully to disguise what has collected over the last 20 years of abuse. There is only one functioning ice machine, but numerous non-functioning machines that management appears unwilling to fix. This problem has existed for years without any effort being made to repair or replace them. During the summer, I don't know how they operate on just one ice machine. Having to walk through the sprinklers on a cold winter night was a nice touch. When I requested an additional ice bucket to save me some trips through the sprinklers (I need to ice down a bad back) I was told by the front desk "the walking is good for you". I explained to him the nature of my work (line work)afforded me plenty of exercise and I preferred to not work during my stay. The sidewalk is lifted in many locations and needs replacement, the parking lot could use some fresh paving. The price is cheap though and my stay was quiet. There are nicer places to stay, but the location is central to freeways, plenty of places to eat and a bowling alley is right down the street. There are worse places to stay (Roxford and 5 fwy) and the pool is nice. I will continue to stay there as long as the price remains low. A deeper discount would be nice though.

Bathroom needs renovation and security personel would be a plus particularly on outside perimeter of the building.
