Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 27??
The water park and set up for the children is great. However I do think the fact that children of all ages are running around the entire hotel with no adult supervision is a little scary. On Sat night there were 3 little boys no older the 5-6 who got outside the hotel into the smoking area and were locked out. We let them in and the took off again. We were in the elevators and witnessed a man who was so caught up in that wand game that he got off the elevator and left his children standing there. We had to take them back to the floor that he got off on and hope they found him. This is a huge liability on the hotel. The beds in the rooms were some of the worst that I have ever been exposed to. Thank goodness for the Pizza Hut, otherwise you are spending $75 on breakfast for 3 adults and 3 kids who ate almost nothing. Or $40 on 2 hotdogs, 1 corndog and a small pizza at the consession stand in the pool area. That was a little ridiculous.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 2 of 27Kids had a blast
I took my son and some of his friends for his 8th birthday. The boys were excited about the waterpark but went crazy over the Magi-Quest adventures. The staff was very nice. My older son is 13 and he came for a little while but didn't enjoy the waterpark as much. He only wanted to do the big waterslide but the lines were long. I highly recommend this place for anyone with elementary age kids. Our room had a refrigerator and microwave which was a huge help.

The waterpark water and room temperature are too cold. There were children walking around with blue lips. The water should be warmed up. I had to get out of the water and towel off to warm up.

We booked a grizzly bear suite from our hotels.com free rewards. This was a clean, nice sized suite and could comfortable sleep 8. The check in/ check out took less then a minute if you book it online. We went on a Monday and their were literally more lifeguards then swimmers and we never once waited in a line. This place is alot of fun. The food on the 3rd floor was good (the gouda mac & cheese was unbelieveable). The staff was very helpful. Expensive, but you'll never forget your time here. Enjoy. We had a great wolf time and hope you do too.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 10 of 27Every Family Should Go
This was our families second year to visit the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, TX. My children love it because of all of the waterslides they have to offer along with the wave pool and the lazy river. My youngest is only 17mo and loved the area for the younger kiddos. The rooms are very spacious, however I did find one thing that bothered me, they do not wipe down the walls. We stayed in the kid camp suite and on the wall was chocolate smeared by other guest before us. But all in all I would recommend if you can afford to go do so. You will have a great time!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 27Great experience - missing details...
The overall experience was great. A couple of things that would make the hotel superior - upon my arrival, the first 2 hotel staff I spoke to couldn't answer my questions. The changing area is less than adequate for being a family waterpark. The rooms don't have any additional space for hanging wet things (yet it is a waterpark). When you can sleep 8 in a room and only have 2 hooks, it is a problem. Otherwise, great concept and excellent "staycation" for the kids.

I took a group of 6 and I loved this hotel! The theming is great - the water park was a lot of fun too. Even on a busy weekend the lines at the water park were not that bad. We had a family suite and the room was very big! There were lots of other activities in the hotel too (although many of them cost more). This hotel is ideal for families - and younger children. I can't wait to go back with my family!
