    Not much to do in the town. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Dinner buffet was horrible and very expensive. Spa was disappointing. The pool had lukewarm water. There is 1 steam room and 2 dry saunas. Quite crowded and noisy. Having said this, it was a nice break while traveling to just lounge around at the spa. They only have street parking which costs about $12/day

The Grand Hotel Nuove Terme is a carefully restored 1892 belle epoque building set in the spa town of Aqui Terme in Italy's historic Piemonte region. Its 142 guestrooms are furnished with dark woods and parquet flooring, and all include air conditioning, minibars, high-speed Internet connections, safes, direct-dial phones and complimentary bottled water on arrival.

Built on the site of the town's famous thermal springs, the hotel has a spa centre where guests can invigorate themselves in the therapeutic waters. There is also a health centre offering saunas, a solarium, Turkish baths, a range of massages and tailored beauty treatments. More active guests can work out in the fitness room and use the indoor swimming pool. The high-ceilinged Le Fontane restaurant offers regional and Italian specialities, and there is a coffee bar with original 19th century decor and stuccos, serving aperitifs, afternoon teas and speciality coffees. Air-conditioned throughout, the hotel also offers high-speed Internet in public areas, and a 24-hour front desk with safe-deposit box. Multilingual staff at reception can arrange airport transfers and advise on local sightseeing opportunities. The historic town of Cassine is eight kilometres from the hotel and the Bormida Monastery is 10 kilometres away. Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport is 65 kilometres away with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
