Under renovation...great potential

We had not been notified that the hotel would be under renovation during our visit, and had to deal with a temporary front desk, temporary partitions, closed bar, jackhammers during the day, etc. The staff were great, and the room was the largest we've had in our two week European visit. Great old tyrolian furnishings in our room. Large bathroom with both tub and separate shower. Furniture needed refinishing as my wife picked up splinters on several occasions from the worn-out (but charming_) wood furnishings. Had we know it was under renovation, we might have elected a different hotel for this stay.
