Isla Navidad Golf Course, located less than two kilometers away, provides 27 holes of championship play with greens that border a lagoon, the mountains and the magnificent Pacific Ocean.
Hotel Features. This hotel offers five on-site bars and restaurants, including Antonio's that serves international cuisine and locally inspired Mexican and seafood dishes. El Faro Lobby Bar features tropical décor and hosts live music most evenings. This property offers fax, photocopying and printing services, and contains flexible meeting space. Leisure amenities include three outdoor pools, three tennis courts, a fitness center, and a private beach and marina. The spa and salon offer more than 20 treatments such as shiatsu, reflexology and the signature Grand Bay facial. A kid's club provides activity programs for children ages 5-12. The hotel concierge can arrange deep-sea fishing, horse riding and tours of the region.
Guestrooms. This 10-story resort provides 199 guestrooms, all with private balconies that afford mountain, pool, marina or bay views. Plates of tropical fruit welcome guests on arrival. Subtle tropical décor includes elegantly textured fabrics, tiled floors, and cabinetry and furniture washed in cream tones. Room amenities include satellite television, coffeemakers, bathroom telephones, minibars and safe- deposit boxes. Bottled water is complimentary. Internet access is available for a fee.
Expert Tip. A boat regularly departs the hotel dock bound for the town of Barra de Navidad, located less than one kilometer away. Souvenir shops, casual bars and restaurants exude small-town atmosphere. The town's cathedral houses the Cristo Cyclon, a statue of Christ that many believe was responsible for protecting the town during the 1970 hurricane.
