    Nothing great. Lobby is nice, but some rooms have jail-cell like windows. beds weren't great. Bathroom fixtures need work. Service is ok. Overall a C grade. get the business club room for cocktails (2 free a night) , otherwise look elsewhere. Didn't eat the food, except breakfast in the club. The business club has an passable continental breakfast.

Location. The Gran Hotel Ancira is located in the downtown Zona Rosa district in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The hotel is near the Museum of Mexican History and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Monterrey. Barrio Antiguo, a district lined with boutiques, nightclubs, restaurants and coffee shops, is near the property.

Hotel Features. First opened in 1912, the Gran Hotel Ancira features French architecture and a classic marble staircase complemented by live piano music in the lobby. The Barandales restaurant features daily buffets. Bar 1900 features live music. The hotel includes a fitness center, outdoor pool, spa tub and sauna. A business center and meeting spaces are available. Wireless Internet access is complimentary in public areas.

Guestrooms. Guestrooms are appointed with imported French furniture, and select rooms feature antiques dating from the early 20th century. Rooms include coffeemakers and minibars. High-speed Internet access is complimentary. Executive rooms offer private registration, a private lounge with complimentary Continental breakfast, and other services and amenities.

Expert Tip. Take advantage of the Barandales' buffet-style dinner, specifically, the crema de poblano soup. It's a must-have when staying at the hotel.
