Great Hotel in All Ways

Absolutely clean sheets, towels, rug [where i don't have to keep my shoes on while in the room]. Halls and lobby just as clean. Personnel very friendly and accommodating to guests.

Pleasantly Surprised, but...

First time to Tunica and thus this hotel. Was remodeled in fall of 2008 and it looks it. Very well appointed and a first class remodel. Only thing was the shower pressure. I read the reviews before I booked the room and they also mentioned water pressure. I think it was a combination of poor water pressure in shower and water-saving showerheads. Ventilation in casino was a little lacking. I know casinos are a smoking environment but in most high-class casinos, you can hardly tell. Also, if you have smaller kids, or in our case even teenagers (a 17 yo teen and his friend) I do not recommend this area. Little to no activities for older or younger children. If someone built a water park or go-kart track or mini golf they would make a ton of cash. Only other issue was after hour eating. We wanted a midnight snack and the only fast food place open in hotel had a significant line. Maybe bad timing, but we had to wait about 45 min to order and get food. I know I am nit picking but hey; you asked! Overall, we were very satisfied with the overall value. Great room, at a great price. Yes, we will stay there every time from now on.

Excellent hotel stay..very clean and the service was excellent. The customer service was great.

Fall 2008 Renovated Hotel & Casino

The Gold Strike Casino & Hotel recently underwent extensive renovations. Rooms were very spacious and nicely appointed with lovely comforters & draperies, thick towels, comfortable beds, flat screen TV. One drawback, hotel does not use mattress covers and sheets do not fit well, so they come untucked at night. In the morning you find yourself sleeping on the bare mattress. Hotel is walking distance to 2 other casino hotels and 5 minute drive to several others for variety in restaurants and casino play.

Pricey for the weekend

The room looked to have been recently remodeled. Only complaint was regarding my bedspread. It had a stain on it, but I don't use the bedspread due to past reviews of hotels and not changing the bedspreads like they do the sheets. The slots were not loose so we went next door to the Horseshoe casino to gamble. The slots were better and we had more fun playing there. I would stay here again. Just wish you didn't have to pay triple for the same room on weekends as opposed to staying during a weekday. Overall, the room was comfortable, nicely decorated, and clean (except the bedspread).

GREAT experience

This hotel was great! The bed was extremely comfortable- probably one of the best hotel beds I've ever slept in. The room was clean and the shower had great water pressure. The people at the check-in desk were very helpful.

Nice hotel BUT

This was a very nice hotel but we did not have any water pressure in our shower. We had 2 rooms and the other shower was great.

a great deal, well taken care of

got a free upgrade to a suite, gambled a little and was given food comps, great place to stay and have some fun.

Very Nice Hotel

No complaints other than the Pepsi machine down the hall remaining perpetually sold out. Staff were kind and efficient. Hotel is beautiful.
