Great place for a weekend getaway. Would recommend to anyone.

Trip Type: Romance Review 2 of 193NOT a quiet get-a-way
While the hotel itself is nice and has a lot to offer, trying to get any quality sleep is unlikely. The walls are very thin. I could hear the guy next to me sneezing and at one point it sounded like he was rearranging the furniture. We could clearly hear people talking and laughing in the halls. We were able to make out their conversations very clearly. It's a beautiful atmosphere, but if you're looking for a good night sleep, don't count on it.

Trip Type: Romance Review 4 of 193Great Hotel
This hotel is wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone! However, there are some things to be aware of before booking. There were a lot of surprised people checking in when they saw the fees. 1. PARKING. In addition to your room rate and before taxes you will have to pay a resort fee of approx. $20.00 per night (which includes your parking) whether you use the amneities or not. 2. Hold on to your receipt when you depart so you can exit the parking lot. My recommendation is to stay there and have a good time because its a great hotel!

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 193Not impressed
Does not meet up with all the "hype". Hotel was much less than we expected. We didn't even stay the second night, so we checked out early. I was not impressed, it was very average.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 7 of 193Beautiful Resort Hotel In Texas!
We usually travel to Vegas or Mexico to stay in a resort hotel so it is pretty exciting to have the Gaylord so close to home! Great weekend shopping getaway for my daughter and I. We will definately go back soon. Riverwalk Cafe for lunch was superb and Kim was the hostest with the mostest! Very friendly!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 193Overall good stay!
We came to this hotel on the weekend of the red river rivalry and we enjoyed everthing about this hotel except for the $15 a night self parking and there was a $17 resort fee added to our bill! Everything else was great!

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 11 of 193Very Nice
Very beautiful hotel. The grounds around the hotel were very well maintained which made the atmosphere very enjoyable. The hotel restaurants were very pricey, so I would recommend eating at nearby establishments.

Trip Type: Business Review 13 of 193Needs Work
The housekeeping department didn't come to straighten the room 2 out of the 3 nights. The walls between the rooms are paper thin so on one side of my room I could hear a baby screaming and on the other side there must have been 20 kids in this room who were screaming and jumping on the beds and making all sorts of noise. I called for room service to send up JUST chips and salsa and it took them 35 minutes and the bill was 18.00. Overall, a nice hotel but everything else stunk.

Trip Type: Business Review 15 of 193Great Adventure
Found this to be a wonderful experience. This was our first stay at Gaylord Texan and our experience exceeded all expectations. Staff was very polite, helpful with 'can do' attitude. Beautifully appointed rooms. The only negative aspect was the daily 'resort' fee. Don't feel that to be necessary and we did not get our bottled water.
