Don't Stay Here

I was shocked to learn that Garrett's Inn charges an additional fee of $8 per day to park in their parking lot. Although you think you're motel is payed for when you finish with hotels.com, there will be additional charges. From the outside, the motel looks pretty nice. But you're not staying on the outside, you're staying on the inside which is a different story. The room smelled musty and the carpet is very old. The stucco walls are cracked, covered over with more stucco and cracked again. The place is pretty old and needs renovation. On the bright side, the stay was very quiet, probably because no else appeared to be staying in this motel. The motel was in close proximity to downtown. I also recommend eating at the Plaza Cafe on the square which has an excellent breakfast menu. Good Luck.

Old, but for the price was worth it.

It's an older motel that needs updating. But, it was clean and comfortable. We were traveling on a budget, so it really was a good deal considering the location was excellent. It's within walking distance of everything in Old Town. Only issues were the old room heaters (loud and not in the best condition)and the unadvertised $8.00 parking fee.

reason for choosing this hotel

I have been to Santa Fe before and have used this hotel several times. It is two short blocks off the square and is considerably less than other hotels. There is no restaurant as yet but in Santa Fe that is not a problem.

"Great room for the money BUT Needs Improvement in....

The only thing I would have liked to see is more use of openings, windows, in a town, were the air is presh and lovely and cool at night, triyng to sleep with the noise of the a/c instead of fresh lovely mountain air,,,,does not make sence to me, would save them a lot of $$$ in energy cost as well....nice staff...

Great hotel

The rooms were large enough for 3 adults, it is very convenient to Santa Fe plaza (walking distance) The staff could have been a little friendlier, The pool was great.

I would stay here for the location for sure!

We could walk everwhere in the old part of town very easily. The hotel was older and well used but overall we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. It is in no way a fancy hotel but well worth the price we paid for the location and the cost of nearby hotels all taken into account.
