Four Seasons Houston

I'm going to stay there everytime I visit!

It's named Four Seasons for a reason!!! The hotel is in an excellent location, right near a lot of shops. Very clean outside and inside, everyone is very professional and willing to help in any way possible. Staying here will make all the other places you have ever stayed feel like whole in the wall! You have to stay here at least once if you can and I'm sure after that you will be sold.

very comfortable room

Comfortable,convenient,clean. Even treated us to a chocolate dessert tray for our anniversary. However, even though the service given was meeting the Four Seasons standards, the service patter at check-in was way too formal to be considered friendly. She did not veer off the suggested questions/answer mode. (It's okay to bring your "personality" to work!)

we stayed here to have a wknd retreat from work. Excellant room service great food great location one block from park. Highly recommend room service.(steak)

Classic style

At the Four Seasons Houston you get exactly what you would expect- a beautiful room coupled with exceptional service. There are not many frills or bells and whistles- just an old guard classic hotel. We stayed in a Jr. suite (just my husband and I on this trip) and we had plenty of room (bathroom was a LITTLE small). Flat screen TV's in the living area and bedroom area. My only complaint about the room would be that you cannot watch both TV's at the same time--too noisy! instead of the big opening between the two rooms, it would have been nice if they would have put double doors so you could close off one room. Keep this in mind when you are booking this room with children. Spa was very nice--get the Hot Stone Massage and the smoothies out by the pool are very refreshing! Hotel car was nice to take to dinner! Reef (recommended by concierge) was excellent!

Lives up to its reputation for fine service

We stayed at an Omni before elsewhere in Texas, and were pretty sour with the experience. We had expected that luxury hotels were all glitz with no real tangible benefits. We stayed at the Four Seasons Houston, partly because of geographic necessity. The Omni experience, being fresh in our minds, made us a bit nervous. However, our concerns were quickly assuaged when we encountered the attentive, courteous and detail-oriented service. The room was large and roomy, the bathroom amenities beyond adequate, and best of all, the bed was quite possibly the most comfortable I had ever experienced. We spent a lot of time by the poolside, and appreciated its "Oasis in a concrete jungle" atmosphere. Finally, breakfast at the in-house restaurant, Quattro, is to die for. I highly recommend the French Toast. Baked goods came fresh from the bakery. If we had time, we would have loved to stay for the Sunday brunch.

Great Service but the Rooms need updating

I actually live in Houston and booked the executive suite for a weekend staycation. We booked the Four Seasons because of the reputation they have for luxury & top notch service. Well, we found the service really is top notch, but the luxury is lacking. Our executive suite had two TV's, both old CRT type TVs. The furnishings were old. And the bathroom was lack luster. But the service was excellent. Each person we dealt with was helpful and pleasant. From the baggage handler to the check in person. The room was very clean. If you are not really interested in an upscale room, then I'd say this is your place. The service really was great. I'd even go back if I could be assured I'd get one of the updated rooms.

Great Hotel Value

The hotel is a great value with the hotels.com price for the room. However, remember it is a four seasons and the hotel parking, bar etc. are very expensive.

Nice place

This was a nice place but the manager was rude. I asked the manager if he could extend my stay at the hotels.com price a day longer because I was having cancer surgery and needed one more day before my surgery. He laughed at me and told me that price did not even pay for the room cleaning. There were better ways he could have handled that. I was almost in tears after talking to him. I NEVER ask for anything extra but felt that given my cancer surgery, it was a reasonable request.

Not exactly wh

The hotel is very nice and everyone provides great service. The following are the things that were wrong. The shower glass walls were leaking and the floor got wet, the blow dryer didn’t work, but they did bring me another one. The pool is also pretty small. I was expecting something a little bigger. And just my personal deal, there were too many kids at the pool and apparently on the floor we stayed at because I could hear them through our closed door. I probably wont stay there again.

Great room. spend time at pool.

The Staff was incredible. They were extremely helpful. Wait staff at the pool were great. I recommend the poolside spa treatments. They were amazing. The pool was one the best pools my husband and I hung out in. They also have a driver who will drive you anywhere downtown. We had a really good time. It was very romantic. The breakfast was nice and delicious. The lemon soufle pancakes were great.

Extraordinary Hotel

The Four Season Houston Hotel was extraordinary from the time we checked-in until the time we checked-out. The front desk personnel was very accommodating and offered us the option for late check-out. When we arrived in our room, there was soft music playing, the drapes were drawn to let in just enough light, while maintaining the perfect temperature in the room. The ice bucket was filled with ice, the bedding was crisp white linen. The hotel has a salt water swimming pool with a side bar, spa service and an exercise room. All of the staff constantly greeted us by our name. After waking and touring the city for the day, upon our return, everything was exactly the same way as it was upon our arrival; Soft music playing upon entering the room, linen crisp and white, drapes drawn, you get the picture. When I say crisp whit linen, the duvet was changed daily. This hotel provided excellent service and I applaud their staff. The Four Seasons Houston deserves its five star rating.
