Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 234Relaxing in wine country
I've stayed at the Fountaingrove Inn before so this was no surprise. This hotel is quiet, clean, stylish and located right off of Highway 101. From the Fountaingrove Inn it is a short(5 min.) drive to downtown Santa Rosa. I love that area and there are plenty of dining options. In addition you can always eat at the Equus restaurant which is a part of the Fountaingrove Inn. The food is nothing spectacular but is very good nonetheless. I look forward to staying there again.

This hotel is coupled with an excellent restaurant, hotel is clean but the room was on par with a motor motel. The 20 inch TV probably said it best

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 234no water
It was unacceptable to me that an entire wing of the hotel did not have water in the morning. No shower, no washing your hands, brushing your teeth, flushing the toilet. The front desk suggested I use the public restroom in the other wing of the hotel. Come on, I paid for a room with water! The hotel could have handled the situation much better than they did. Very disappointing

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 5 of 234Top Value - Quality and Service
Hotel is easy access to Hwy 101, clean, well furnished, comfortable, great staff, excellent restaurant on site. This was a great value for the price. We will stay here again.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 234Interesting combination
Interesting place. The outside looks like a motor lodge, with parking in front. Lobby looks like an upscale Inn. Rooms are clean and pleasant. Restaurant is pricey, and perhaps a bit too upscale for the rest of the establishment. Bar seems to be a hangout for locals, especially during happy hour. There isn't a lot nearby, but it's a good location for getting into downtown or on the freeway.

Trip Type: Romance Review 7 of 234Good choice for Wine Country vacation
Fountaingrove Inn is a great choice if you are traveling through wine country and want a good central location. The 101 is easily accessed from the hotel, and downtown Santa Rosa is a 5 minute drive. The hotel is quiet, and the staff is friendly and professional. If you want a quaint and "authentic" wine country hotel, you should stay in Healdsburg, St. Helena, or Sonoma. This hotel was great for us as we had no set itinerary and knew we would be traveling through Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino counties.I would also recomment it for business travelers as the hotel offers free wi-fi.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 234Comfortable Stay in a Great Location
We stayed at the Fountain Grove for a wedding that was happening in Glen Ellen. Our check in was friendly and fast and the woman at the desk enthusiastically provided us with a map of the area and some ideas for sightseeing the next day. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was low - but it still got the shampoo out. The bed was very comfortable. The rooms are a little dark (ours was anyway) but everything else is so comfortable you don't really care. The restaurant served us the best french toast I've ever had and the service there on the two days that we dined in was really friendly. The location is right in the middle of wine country and perfect for a weekend of tastings.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 14 of 234Good Hotel
Overall a great place to stay. The one complaint my wife had was that there was no full length mirror in the room and to women getting ready for a wedding, inexcusable. There were tell tale signs that one had been mounted to the wall before. I mentioned this to the desk clerk but she was at a loss to explain what happened.
