    The property itself was adequate, relatively new in appearance and cleanliness. Restaurant and bar and desk staff were helpful. Major complaint was maid service. We had to call everyday and ask for enough towels. Coffee pot but no coffee. Big tear in sheet. Nothing really within walking distance of hotel. Had to take a taxi to everything such as historic center of Veracruz and retail/shopping area of Boca Del Rio. Couple of restaurants within walking distance, otherwise nothing. Beach narrow, water rough. Difficult to walk down the beach as it is so narrow.

    The staff was very courteous and helpful; they went out of their way to make our stay a pleasant one. Upon arrival, we were given an unsatisfactory room (I had reserved a king/ocean view and got 2 double beds/pool view); when I brought it to the staff's attention, they quickly moved us and I was very pleased with the new room. The swim-up bar was closed the entire time we were there; the staff said it was because of the poor weather and because there were only a few of us at the pool. Also, you must have a credit card on file in order to charge anything to your room. All in all, I enjoyed the hotel.
