Fiesta Americana Villas Acapulco

delightful experience!

As first time visitors to Acapulco, but second time visitors to Mexico, our experience with this hotel was beyond our expectations. The room was always clean, the staff friendly, helpful, and bilingual. Requests were more than adequately addressed. The kitchen even prepared the fish caught by our group and served it with veggies and rice! We were able to hear the disco from our room at night but it was not loud and easily masked by the soft fan of the air conditioner. The only night that the noise bothered us was the last and that was only because of the holiday we happened to experience with our schedule. I expressed to the staff how pleased we were with all the service and amenities and told them we will definitely be back! The view was great and the ambiance was delightful.

Poor Air Conditioning, Muggy smell everytime we turned on!!

Air Conditioner Needs improvement ASAP...We spent 3nights and 4days at this hotel. Service was great, food was great, the pools were clean and in very good condition, good price. We stayed without AC due to the muggy, clammy odor everytime we turned it on. At night, we tried to leave the windows and balcony door open so we could get some breeze in, but it was impossible with all the loud music from a night club below, despite the fact that we were in the 15th floor. Unbelievable Noisy!!! Next time we'll think twice before staying there.

Overall it was a great stay it was located next to some clubs, stores and restaurants it was very convienent. During the day it was easy to get around town and at night the clubs get crunk. A draw back is that when your on da beach there are too many vendors trying to sell you things such as silver, shades, massages, hair dews and clothes. It was a nice stay and i would stay there again.

Great price, nice beach, & great free breakfast! Not the hotel's fault, but there are too many vendors bothering you while you try & relax on the beach. But, I guess it is Mexico afterall!

Good room for the money, but.........

Stayed only one night at the hotel at the end of a cruise. The hotel was located right on the bay in a very convenient location. It is located in the heart of the clubs and nightlife so if you want a secluded, quit area this hotel is not for you. The suite was literally as big as an apartment for the price we paid - would have been very comfortable for a long stay. The "but" part is this - as noted in other reviews, you have to have a room on the quit side of the hotel. There is an outdoor club on the one side of the hotel that has music blasting nonstop with a DJ until 4 a.m. I read the reviews to get a room on the quiet side but did not request that to my fault. It was so bad I had to sleep on the floor in the bathroom because it was facing the other side of the hotel and the music was not as loud in the bathroom. I could not imagine staying there long term with that every night. The only other thing we did not like was the hallways had a weird smell - not bad, but almost like a weird, very strong cleaning solution. So, as long as you stay on the quiet side, the hotel was great - clean, pool nice, great beach access, food options everywhere.

needs improvement

We returned home from a three night stay one week ago. It wouldn't take much for this to be a fabulous place to stay; however, given the fact that the whole air conditioning system blows out the strongest smell of mold that we have ever smelled, I can not recommend it. I am still recovering from a major cough. We even changed rooms from the more beautiful side of the hotel, but found the mold smell to be equally as bad. We kept the patio doors open as much as we could, but the noise from the street prevents the doors to be open at night. Now, except for the mold and the noise, this hotel is wonderful. The suites are spacious and nice for the price, but it could be cleaner. The views are wonderful from both sides of the hotel, although the more beautiful view also has the loudest noise from the bars on the street at night and loud traffic noise. The pool area is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor areas of this hotel. You can walk down to the beach and get the full feeling of Mexico with a nice little market right there. The tide is quite strong and the waves very big, but it was fun to walk down the beach and see this side of Acapulco. The staff was very nice and changed our room easily. The breakfast and lunch restaurants were good, but we did not like the buffet in the lobby at night. The hotel has filtered water, so we did not get sick from it. The only reason I can not recommend this hotel is because of the air quality that we experienced.

"Needs Improvement"

The Fiesta Americana Villas, is not what I expected ... from the pervious ratings I thought that I was going to be wowed! No indeed, the room that we first checked in had a big hole in the bathroom. Which they didn't have a problem moving us it was just the fact that they was giving out a room that had a big hole in it. The paint was chipping in a lot of places, beds are hard. Other than that the employees are really friendly. We checked out early and moved to another hotel. This is not a four star hotel. I don’t think that the money I paid was worth it. I will not be back.

Wow!

I was so impressed with Fiesta Americana Acapulco! The room was fabulous and the view was beyond my expectation. The location of the hotel really makes it the only choice in Acapulco. There are great views from both sides of the hotel. Plus, the architect planned it so even rooms in the back would have ocean views. The staff was friendly and helpful. The grounds were beautiful. There were several choices for restaurants right in the hotel. I was tickled with the whole experience. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

Showing its age

The location of the Fiesta Americana is great; right in the middle of the strip. Plenty of shopping and restaurants within easy waking distance. The hotel is kept up fairly nicely, but you could see the property is showing its age. A little new paint here and there wouldn't hurt. Also, it can be noisy. I was on the 10th floor and heard the traffic on the street very well. I also heard the music from the local spring break party til 4AM. They could use some more English speaking employees.

outstanding hotel

The hotel was very nice. Great location, loved the pool. Staff was very helpful. Rooms were nice. Great value for the money. We'll definetely be back.

Great Hotel

We got more than we expected. We expected two double beds, but we got the two double beds that also came with a suite which we did not need. Hence, the price tag,
