Great Hotel, Great Location

This hotel very affordable and was right across from the falls. Many additional conveniences as well: Across from the Casino, There's an IHOP in the hotel, Valet parking or you can use the parking garage across the street, within walking distance of lots of attractions and places to eat. The hotel staff was nice, the rooms were larger than expected, and the bathrooms were nice and clean.Overall, a great experience.

Misnomer hotel

This is a nice hotel at a reasonable price which is connected to a low rent chain breakfast restaurant which charges outrageous prices for eggs and pancakes. Our breakfast bill was as much as 60% of our hotel room. Also, the bathroom is not kid friendly at all. The countertop was about 42" (30"+ is pretty standard) so my 6 year old couldn't wash her hands by herself. The misnomer - Fallsview is the name of the road and has nothing to do with the potential to actually see the falls. I fell for this one other time staying at a "Major Brand - Flagship" which turned out to be some crummy unrenovated beach hotel called "The Flagship" which had been adopted by the Major Brand. It leaves people sour, so why do it?

Satisfactory and comfortable

While all was comfortable and satisfactory we were disappointed with our view. We did not have the view of the falls as seen in the ad. Most of the view was the building across the street unless you walked up to the window and looked to the right over a roof top and then you could see the river and spray of the falls.

Great hotel

$20 valet parking turned out to be a really good option, you can get your car to the hotel front lobby any number of items within the 24 hour window. The cars were parked inside 12 foot concrete walls which is really safe and secure. One comment worth noting is that the "river view" is not really overlooking the falls and, you can only see the falls if you are staying at least on the 8th floor or up. I feel that there is no need to pay extra money for the "river view".

Not a 4-star Hotel

Renovations are being made at the hotel and totally makes the view of the hotel dingy and old. Riverview - what view? I had a riverview room and all I saw in front of me was the parking lot to the hotel in front of us! It was not mentioned I needed to pay for parking and at a rate higher than NYC parking. No microwave or fridge in the hotel either, totally an oversight of mine but for a 4-star hotel that should be included.

Fallsview?

Booked 2 "fallsview" rooms, absolutly no view of falls. Initially the 2 rooms were not even on the sam floor... I guess it just goes to show that you can't assume anything... traveling together, want to be near each other in hotel, be prepared to speak with the hotel staff and then "good luck". I would say that any time you book a room with the added cost and discription "fallsview" you should be able to actually SEE the falls. Not Happy.

not worth price or rating

Hotel pictures are over rated. Pictures show large rooms, and great surrounding area. Rooms are TINY and Falls are a 15 minute walk. Service was okay, but hotel is NOT a 4 STAR! Look around. We would not stay here again.
