Great quality for affordable price

The only two things I did not like about the hotel were 1) the cigarette smell throughout the whole building and 2) the "continental breakfast" which was more like "snack food if we have it". The room was much better than I expected equipped with stove, oven, microwave, kitchen sink, fridge & freezer, dishes & flatware. Very happy with that (although there were no coffee filters for the coffee maker). The employees were very sweet and very patient, very friendly to me and my husband. The location was great, just 8 minutes from the San Jose Convention Center, across the street from grocery stores, coffee shops, and restaurants. A very strong cigarette smell haunted the hallways and our room smelled like body odor no matter how long we left the windows open. Besides the smell it was a very nice place to stay.

Store across the street, quite area, easy access to freeway internet service is cheap 4.99 / day kitchen items need to be improve missing some needed items

Great for the price

We had a great stay here. I would say that even though there were a couple of small issues (that were taken care of asap) I will stay here again no questions asked. One down fall is that there is no maid service unless you stay 7 days. That was a bit bothersome since we stayed there for 5 days. Other than that I would strongly recommend this hotel.

If you value your valuables, don't stay here!

Very disappointed! Items were taken from room and never got a call back from management after reporting the incident six different times in a three day period. Corporate referred back to the same manager who did not offer a resolution other than he would check with the maids. Other than the calls I've made, I've seen no attempts by Extended Stay Deluxe to contact me and resolve this issue. Careful, this Extended Stay does not have updated key entry system which tracks room entries. Amenities were skimpy at best. Furniture very old and uncomfortable.

Noth worth the money

The first room we were given was so disgusting. The floor in the kitchen had food all over it, the drawers were dirty inside and the dishes in the cabinets weren't even clean. The couch had really bad stains all over it (there is no way I would have sat on it, nor let me kids sit on it) and the whole room just smelled bad. We walked in and after about 5 minutes walked right back out. At least the staff was nice and did give us another room, but I am appauled that they would even let someone check into the first room we were given. Our 2nd room was clean, but the place is in serious need of updating. Neither bed was comfortable and the linens seemed to be really, really old. In the morning they offered free coffee and breakfast items, but they were gone long before 8:30 (they said they would be serving it from 6:30 - 8:30), and no one was around to replenish anything. For the price, I was really not happy with our stay here.

Solid place to stay...but!

They don't do daily housekeeping. If you need anything, sheets towels ect... you need to drag your dirties down stairs and ask for clean ones...that you change yourself. Wasnt expecting that! Still I'd stay there again - very comfy rooms.

Not Worth it at all

There was no batterys in the remote. The toliet leaked yellow stuff.....nasty! The toliet ran for hours and did not flush. Terrible! Not worth it at all!

Will stay there again

The hotel was perfect for our situation. We not only had our grandson with us, but our 8lb dog.(They accomodate pets.) I worried about how the condition of the rooms might be because they allow pets, but my worries were for naught...the room was very nice, clean, upgraded, and very comfortable for all of us. Suggestions: make sure there is dish detergent in the room for washing dishes and extra blankets in the room for the sofa bed, without calling housekeeping for everything needed.

Looks good, but smells bad.

Hotel was new and comfortably appointed. It looked clean but smelled strongly of sweat, dirty laundry or something very unpleasant. The shower curtain smelled especially bad. The other residents were partying late on a Saturday night and did something to set off the fire alarm. We had to leave the building at 1:30 am and spend a cold half hour in the parking lot before the alarms were turned off.

Liked, but room was not ready for us

When we entered the room we were taken back by the odor. We opened all the windows, turned on the fan and sprayed colgne everywhere and after 2 hours the room still smelled. We liked that the room was spacious and were impressed by the full kitchen. It was nice to have a full stove and refrigerator. We also liked the general layout of the room, however the room did not seemd to have been properly cleaned before we arrived because we found garbage in the drawers in the bedroom and kitchen, food left by the previous guests and sanitary pads in the closet. Overall we really liked the room and would have given it an excellent rating if it had been cleaned and didn't smell.
