Trip Type: Business Review 1 of 42Good Value
This place is in the middle of the very high-rent area of the Houston Galleria. It's a no-frills place, but a quiet room and a clean restroom are almost always all that I need. I've stayed in this place for year.

Trip Type: Business Review 3 of 42Nice hotel if you want to be in this area
The Galleria area is actually quite a long way from other things you might be interested in (museum area, downtown) and all there is to do there is shop in soulless malls. If that's your thing and you want to stay in the Galleria area, this is a nice choice. Nice rooms, unintrusive staff.

Trip Type: Business Review 5 of 42Great location
I moved from Houston earlier this year and was only in town to tie a few loose ends. The Galleria area is very energizing and the hotel is right across the street. For the price, you can't beat it. My first room did smell like someone had smoked in there and then tried to use a heavy deodorizer over it. After I changed rooms, all was well.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 6 of 42great room for the money and great location
Extended Stay is a good hotel if you need a residence type accommodation. Nothing fancy, but clean with good wifi, a small kitchen, I had a room with a comfortable bed so that's a bonus.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 11 of 42Not for extended stay
If you had to spend alot of time in this room you may want to look elsewhere. There is NO place to hang your suits, dresses, etc, out of the way of guests. As in there is NO closet. Just a small, 3 sided box where the ironing board hangs and it has a clothes rack. And really, isn't it time to upgrade the TV's. My kid has a bigger, better tv in her room.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 42Just another Extended Stay
I foolishly thought my one previous horrible experience with the Extended Stay chain was a fluke. Wrong. I guess it is possible they are all terrible, even in the Galleria area of Houston. The Grotto restaurant next door is very good.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 15 of 42non-smoking rooms on smoking floors
We were happy with the hotel in general. We asked for a non-smoking room but we could smell smoke on the floor and it smelled horribly for a family with a kid. Our room was smoke-free though and the amenities were as mentioned on the hotel website.
