Trip Type: Not Provided Review 2 of 20Nice Hot Tub
We enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was really good. The shuttle driver was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Only complaint is the room was dark, needed more lighting.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 20Older but nice Hotel
Staff was VERY accomodating except the front desk staff that was just good. They only have one person available with no back up so things can get busy real fast. Overall, the stay was very good and we will stay there agin next year for the Stampede.

Trip Type: Business Review 6 of 20Convenient location, friendly staff
Location was within walking distance of the class that I attended, and it was an easy drive to the downtown office where I attended meetings. Also convenient to shopping and banking.Shuttle service to airport was wonderful.

Trip Type: Business Review 7 of 20Noisy neighbors
The hotel was great and easily accessed. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a 4am wakeup for an early flight when leaving, and was awakened by children and adults calling to one another down the hall at midnight. Their arrival sounded like a herd of elephants. Could hear neighbors in next room showering and putting things in the closet. Don't know if the hotel can do anything to improve soundproofing, but it sure would be nice if they could. Overall, a good value for price.

Trip Type: Family Review 8 of 20Great for business travelers
Really clean and well-kept, with professional help at the desk. Rental car desk available as well. The neighborhood has small businesses (office/warehouse) but gas and restaurants as well. Very convenient to the airport. The buffet breakfast is a little expensive, so an alternate menu would be nice. We would definitely stay again.

Trip Type: Family Review 9 of 20A big "thumbs up"
My first time in Calgary, and I would definitely stay at this hotel if I return. Hotel is not new or fancy, but is well maintained and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. It's also conveniently located near the airport and major highways. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. 4 stars to this hotel!

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 20Not what I hoped for
The Royal Executive Inn didn't quite meet my expectations. My room was on the ground floor, just a few doors down from the lobby area. This contributed to a higher than hoped for level of noise into later hours. I found the bed uncomfortable - the pillows were the single piece of foam type. Overall I just thought the hotel gave off a very low-rent feel.

Trip Type: Business Review 12 of 20Great for business travel
I came to Calgary for business and this hotel provided everything that I needed: there is a good spot in the lobby to meet people; the hotel provided a conference speaker phone so that I could conference call with others; the Internet connection was speedy. My room was laid out well to work alone or as a group. The restaurant provided a good spot for a group to meet for breakfast, which was a great buffet selection. The service at the hotel was also great. When I asked for items to help me with my business needs they hopped on it. I also took advantage of their "spa", which has a workout room, two steam showers, and two whirlpools (no pool). The selection of equipment in the workout room was good, but the elliptical machine needed attention.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 13 of 20fine for stopover
We had a room on the first floor. It overlooked a parking area, but since we were just using it as a stopover before driving to our next destination: 2 weeks in the Canadian Rockies, it was fine.
