I stayed in the new wing of the hotel and it exceeded my expectations. The rooms were great and the location convenient.

Great, Quiet Room

There was nothing wrong with this room! On the water, no road noise, comfortable bed/pillows. Great shower towels. Breakfast was more than we expected with offerings of waffles, hard-boiled eggs and a variety of toaster choices, juice and other beverages. Staff is friendly and the location great for all you need to do in the Bay area.

Unsafe sorrounding area

The hotel is fine, but go 100ft away from the hotel and you will see some scary faces. We went to the closest Walmart and there is always somebody asking for spare money. Not recommended.

you could not do better for even twice the cost

start with the bad things the shower ran hot and cold all by itself one of the elevators didn't work one day to go north on the freeway from the hotel was bad surface street for about 2 miles good things great water view from the back of the hotel good breakfast really nice big room

Great Hotel

Staff was superb. Room was very nice. Having a shuttle to transport guest to various locations that were close by really helped as we were trying to go green, having a vacation without renting a car.

Mixed reactions

Good room, well thought out and comfortable. Excellent amenities. On the water side, very nice view with a fairly private balcony, allowing the sliding glass door to be left ajar, which we needed to do because of problem #1 that follows. Two problems: #1 AC unit was loud and blew directly at the bed (needed to build a barrier); #2 mildew is creeping in along the edge of the room and there was a little mold at the base of the glass in the shower stall.

Second time around

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel. Our first visit was just as pleasant as the second although the second time around we upgraded to a suite. Both rooms overlooked the lagoon. It was fantastic being able to leave the siding glass window open during the nights and the views from the patio were breath taking. The rooms were nice and clean and the staff was very courteous.

Very Very Good

First of all, my experience at this hotel was probably enhanced because I got a free upgrade to a suite, but anyway: The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful, and they provide free shuttle service to and from the nearest train station and airport. I found the complimentary breakfast to be quite generous. (It's actually better in the main building than in the suite building) The beds in the suite rooms were very comfortable -- I've stayed in many hotels of this level before and the mattress pads seemed to be a little different, firm but also soft. very nice. Free use of the business center was very helpful too. Overall, this place is highly recommended.
