Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 1 of 8Difficult to find
The hotel Hannong has 3 stars, and as far as hotels in Strasbourg go, the Hannong is relatively cheap, and basically you get what you pay for. The rooms are uncomfortably small and there are not much in the way of facilities. However, for one night, I didn't much care. What was a real hassle was finding the place. The Hannong is located in downtown Strasbourg, somewhere on the edge of one of Strasbourg's many pedestrian areas. Getting to this hotel was a nightmare. The GPS was useless! It led me to straight into one of those pedestrian areas. I had to get out and buy an old fashioned map. This said, many of Strasbourg's downtown hotels are equally difficult to find. If you are driving to Strasbourg, and you want a hotel that is in downtown, but a little easier to find, try the Sofitel or the Mercure. These are a little bit easier to access.

Trip Type: Special Event Review 3 of 8Room size
We were only staying one night in Strasbourg so we didn't expect a palace, however, the room was so small we had to step over the corner of the bed to get around our carry on suitcase. Hotel rooms in Europe are generally smaller than the US but again this was a bit much. The staff was nice and it is centrally located.

Overall, the Hannong was a good value and provided a great location. The room was not large, but it was well furnished. Complimentary wireless internet was much appreciated, as was the assistance of the staff regarding places to go in Strasbourg.

Trip Type: Romance Review 5 of 8Modern Hotel in the heart of the city
We were very pleased with this hotel during our day in Strasbourg. It is in the heart of a main shopping street, within a few minutes walk of the Cathedral and the river. The neighborhood was packed during the day, but at night, you had to go to some of the nearby streets to find cafes and restaurants with nightlife. The hotel room was small, but adaquate for just spending a couple of nights in the city. The bathroom looked like it had recently been modernized (it oddly had a see-through shower into the bedroom, but there was a curtain for privacy), and both the bathroom and bedroom were very clean. There were no street noises, and even though we were just off the main stairs, the room was very quiet. We loved the hotel wine bar for its excellent selection of local wines and great service. Overall we felt we got great value for the money.

Small room, but clean. Friendly hotel staff. Relatively good value.

Trip Type: Overnight Stay Review 7 of 8the best location
excellent for anyone who is travelling by train. the room we stayed in had a very "japanese" style decoration and size. it was perhaps a bit too snug for two but adequate for one person. the shower is remarkably modern. enclosed in glass on one side of the room it is concealed by a curtain. overall, location and service at the reception were excellent. breakfast is overpriced.
