    Exotic and splendid set-up, impressive dimensions. Well appointed rooms and very professional, friendly staff. Truly 5-Star. Because of huge dimensions, walking to any location within the hotel is quite a trek.

Location. The Emirates Palace Hotel is located overlooking the Persian Gulf in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, within one kilometre of the city centre. The Marina Mall is 1.5 kilometres away and the Heritage Village is two kilometres from the hotel.

Hotel Features. Located by a kilometre of private sandy beach, the imposing Emirates Palace Hotel Abu Dhabi is fronted by an granite facade and features opulent interior decor in gilt and marble. Amenities include two open-air swimming pools, set amid landscaped grounds, a lazy river, and two fully equipped modern health clubs offering aerobics classes. The hotel's wellness centre offers a variety of massage and spa treatments. Jewellery and designer fashions are on sale in the hotel's in-house boutiques. The hotel also offers a complimentary valet-parking service.

Le Vendome restaurant offers buffet and a la carte dining throughout the day and indoor and outdoor seating. Other restaurants offer international, Arabic and seafood specialities in opulent contemporary surroundings. The Caviar Bar offers an extensive Champagne list, while the Havana Club boasts a gentlemen's club atmosphere and a selection of fine cognacs and cigars.

Business amenities include conference rooms and complimentary wireless Internet access throughout the property.

Recreational activities at the Emirates Palace include tennis, kayaking, water skiing and diving. A kids' club offers supervised activities for children.

Guestrooms. The 394 guestrooms feature opulent decor with marble and gold leaf and antique- style furnishings. All incorporate separate sitting areas and balconies. Expert Tip. For a taste of traditional Arabic life before the advent of shopping malls, join an overnight safari and experience the tranquillity of the desert. Please note: The New Year's Eve gala dinner is compulsory for guests staying over New Year at the hotel. Dress code is black-tie: Dinner jacket and no jeans for men, and evening dress for women.
