Trip Type: With Friends Review 1 of 352Perfect location.
We stayed here in 1997 and the hotel has since been completely renovated. The location is perfect...we never needed a car and were all able to do our own thing if desired. The room was very large...plenty of room for a blow-up bed if one was needed. Beautiful hotel, inside and out...don't think I'd ever stay anywhere else in San Antonio!!

Trip Type: Romance Review 3 of 352A friendly helpful welcome to a foreign city!
There was a confusion over the type of room that we were supposed to stay in at the fault of no one (might have even been mine). The night manager, Mr. Diab, was more than helpful and quickly accomodated our needs beyond my expectations. The view of the Alamo was fantastic and the location is convieniently close to the hotspots of the Riverwalk. We had such a great time, we didn't mind the fact that it rained nearly the whole time there. This hotel is the real deal and I will stay there again in a heartbeat. You will not be disappointed. The star of the staff was a Johnny, the bellman, who proved to be a real asset. Tell him Mr. Wilson says "hello".

Trip Type: Business Review 4 of 352A great value
Top notch location and wonderful hotel in terms of comfort and service. On the minus side, having to pay $10 per stay for an internet connection seems strange... Still a very fine value for the money. A great value.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 352not happy
we weren't happy with this hotel at all. all of the pictures online looked really nice but when we got there our room was dirty, it wasnt the room type we had requested, and of course they had nothing else they could put us in. the parking was $28.00. that should probably be mentioned somewhere in there too. overall we were very dissatisfied and will not stay there again. hopefully other people can have a better experience than us. (also, they put us on the 7th floor which i read is haunted!)

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 352Great Hotel
We stayed in a king suite and it was beautiful. The bed and bedding were very comfortable. Big windows with a view of the Alamo directly across the street. The only drawback was the jacuzzi. The plug wasn't working so it would not fill up with enough water to be able to turn on the jacuzzi jets. That was disappointing since that was the main reason I booked the suite. Other than that, I would definitely recommend it.

Trip Type: Business Review 10 of 352The Best on the River Walk!!
The Emily Morgan is a beautiful hotel and the service cannot be beat. Every person we came into contact with was willing to go over and beyond, and quickly! This hotel is such a great deal for the location and proximity to the River. The rooms are updated and beautiful and did I mention the jacuzzi tub?? With a view of the Alamo and great happy hour deals, along with yummy room service, we were very pleased.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 352a bit noisy
The street noise downtown San Antonio on a Saturday night was definitely heard from our 7th floor room: sirens (4 times), yelling, cars, motorcycles. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, and we loved being across from the Alamo. The beds were very comfortable!

Trip Type: With Friends Review 12 of 352Haunted
I loved the room. The bathroom was very nice too, but at around 4:00 A.M. lights started to turn on and off and we started hearing really strange sounds. I checked outside to make sure no one was there and indeed no one was there. It scared my friend and me but we still recommend the hotel.

Trip Type: Family Review 13 of 352Good and Bad
The hotel was in a great location, the room was large and comfortable. Unfortunately, at night there was a terrible storm and the windows/roof leaked. At 3:00 a.m. I woke up to hear water dripping from the ceiling, and although none of our belongings were damaged, it was difficult to sleep because of the constant dripping. We only stayed one night, but had it been more we would have had to change rooms. When we called the front desk to let them know, they said several guests had called with the same problem.

Trip Type: Business Review 14 of 352Historic hotel is Charming and Welcoming
I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was very friendly & accomodating. The Oro Restaurant on site offers amazing food with down-to-earth pricing--a huge surprise! I had an A/C problem--the room was freezing. Once I notified the staff, the maintenance man arrived in less than 30 minutes and had the issue resolved in less than 10 minutes. I was very pleased. The hot tub was under reconstruction when I was there. I was too busy to be terribly disappointed. I had a king room. It wasn't huge--but, it was great for me. The down comforter & pillow shams were clean but not pressed. Other than that, the room was very elegantly appointed. I enjoyed my stay & will stay there again!

Trip Type: Romance Review 15 of 352Beautiful but small
Okay, so I stayed in the business queen room. It was so small. It was Very Nice BUT, the TV was OLD. It wasn’t even a flat screen? I’ve stayed in MANY hotels & this is suppose to be a Nice Hotel but the TV was a little 32in Box…lol Another thing You have to pay for the internet PER NIGHT, & there is no underground parking You have to park out in the open and have to pay $35.00 a day. The restaurants food was Delicious & room service was GOOD & FAST… But I swear It’s haunted it gave me the creeps I couldn’t sleep well. But the Bed was so soft :) Walking distance was PERFECT very close to everything! Just don’t stay on the 7th floor. That’s were I stayed. If you do you will no what im talking about. (Room 701 lady & a boy)
