Trip Type: Romance Review 1 of 150Anniversary Get Away Weekend
We wanted somewhere that was no more than one or two hours from Jacksonville, and we wanted to be on the beach. The Emerald Shores Resort hotel was in our price range and location. Although it is nothing fancy it is clean, comfortable, peaceful and quiet; which is exactly what we were looking for. The only negative comment we had was the continental breakfast needs improving and the complimentary toiletries was not sufficient (lucky for us we brought our own). But inspite of all that we would return as guests, the staff was courteous and friendly.

Trip Type: Family Review 2 of 150Great Value
We stayed over this past Labor Day weekend. Very nice hotel. The room was very clean and the hotel is kept up very nicely. This hotel is located south of the the main downtown area. This was a plus. We were not subjected to all the nonsense that goes on down there. We really enjoyed out stay.

Trip Type: Family Review 5 of 150Great view
The best sunrise view of the beach. If you are expecting great amenities don't. No coffee in room no vending machines but nice pool and spa. Great for the price we paid off season.

Trip Type: Family Review 6 of 150Great room for the money
The location was good. The cleanliness was good. The continental breakfast was only small pastries and coffee. The pool and spa were clean. Don't think they vacuumed our rug on a daily basis nor washed the bathroom floor. We did enjoy our stay and would stay there again. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 8 of 150Great Hotel...
This was a great hotel, and every inexpensive. The breakfast however, was not the greatest. Other than that, the location was great, pool was clean, and the hotel was a great stay. I would stay there again.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 10 of 150great room, if you don't plan to cook
We had a corner efficiency, so the views were fantastic (extra windows). We were not pleased with these things...the kitchen was unacceptable. There was absolutley no counter space to prepare anything and also no place to set (or plug in) the toaster or coffeemaker. Let's talk about the pool area...no shade, no umbrellas, globs of long hair in the pool, and algae buildup on the sides. (only one of the filter jets were working). The jacuzzi had lots of foam which means it needed some chemicals. I DID like that the pool was not real deep at one end.

Trip Type: Family Review 11 of 150Great for the money
I thought the hotel was in really good condition especially in comparison to most of the other hotels in Daytona. Most are run down and dated but this one is fairly new and still in good shape. Its right on the beach and is very convenient to most Daytona attractions.

Trip Type: Family Review 12 of 150Good value
Hotel has few frills, but clean with wonderful balconies and outstanding water front views. Small pool and spa, no fitness center, but the beach is a very easy walk and very accessible. Nice little kitchen in the room was fully stocked with dishes and silverware. We found the beds a little hard for our tastes. Hotel room does not have luggage racks, enclosed closets, comfy chairs or sofa, but the table and two chairs were adequate. Parking was convenient and had great security lighting. Overall it was nice visit and we may possibly return.

Had a great view of the ocean. Room service was a little poor. But other than that I was satisfied.

Trip Type: Romance Review 14 of 150Nice place for a quick get away
If you simply want a place to land with access to the beach, this is it. Room was small, but clean and more up to date than other places in the area. No fee was charged for parking. The only complaint we had was that the website was a little misleading, as it said there was a free breakfast involved. The breakfast was only available for two hours, so not convenient for those who sleep past nine, and consisted of coffee, orange juice, and pre-packaged pastries. If you need something more substantial, you will have to be in one of their efficiencies and cook for yourself,or drive to a nearby restraunt.
