Could be better but..

This was a typical Embassy Suites Hotel. In general everything was fine with a few exceptions. First of all the hotel in located on the service road of Interstate 35 and is very close to the highway. My room was located facing the highway and the traffic noise was very loud. Even closing the heavy drapes did not help. Secondly the room has two TVs and both are the older analog versions with not to great of picture. Although the hotel has all of the expected amenities(pool, gym etc)in general the whole hotel needs updating. All said and done, I would definitely stay there on my next trip.

Nice stay

All in all we had a very nice stay. Had a couple minor issues... AC was all the way down to its coldest setting and the room never warmed up for our two night stay. Breakfast was slow but that was due to lots of guests participating. A major positive was that the hotel provided a ride to several locations which made it great that we didn't have to worry about a taxi fee, parking availablity or fees.

Great hotel

Everything was great, just needs improvement on door maintenance. The keys were giving us a hard time. But other than that everything was great.

Great room for the money

Great stay, only problem was safety latch was borken on door.

Needs Improvement

This was once a great hotel but has been allowed to deteriorate. Carpets and upholstery on chairs is worn and dirty. They did have a free "happy hour" and served ab excellent free breakfast, however. Location is convenient to Parkland hospital.

Greta place to stay in Dallas

Rooms are roomy, clean, and comfortable. Desk service was outstading. Bonus - included with the room is a comlimentary breakfast (custom omlettes, eggs, pancakes, fruit, cereal, and an Managers Reception open bar (5:30 to 7:30) every day.

Not up to past quality

The quality of this hotel has gone down considerably since we were here 2 years. We were very dissapointed. We stayed on the 9th floor and the hall way stuck badly of cigarette smoke. This is a problem for someone who is very allergic to it. When we got in the room, it was warm and smelt like smoke (nonsmoking room). There was about a 1 inch gap between the door and floor where there should have been weather stripping but none was there. The smoke was coming in under the door and so was the hot air. We ended up putting towels under the door to fill the gap. The breakfast was also very poor compared to the past. They were also having problems with the elevators. We hope that this hotal returns to its past quality soon, we might stay here again.

Good place to stay

Easy access to interstate, close to medical facilities, nice rooms, good breakfast and a convenient place for family to stay.

Nice Hotel

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was spacious and extremely clean. The free drinks and continental breakfast were nice addition, and so was the free shuttle anywhere within three miles of the hotel! We definitely utilized that! The pool could have been a little bigger and there wasn't much space to lounge outside. The workout room was nice, even though a few of their machines were out of order. They had a good selection of other amenities that really made a difference. There were a couple of the workers who didn't seem to be very helpful and were not very curtious, but the management more than made up for that. The hotel was located near a lot of really neat shops and restaurants....we will definitely stay here again.
