Trip Type: Special Event Review 16 of 27nice,cozy hotel.
As soon as we stepped into the lobby we were greeted with smiling faces. Everyone was really nice and eager to help. The room was small, but very comfortable. The bathroom was nice and clean. Since this is a bed and breakfast, breakfast came free and was better than I thought it would be. They had pastry and oatmeal choices. Coffee and orange juice, and pretty much all you need for breakfast. Well worth the money, and we are planning to stay there again.

Trip Type: Not Provided Review 17 of 27Great Hotel!
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights, and enjoyed it very much. The owners are very friendly, and the breakfast is excellent! The rooms are decorated in a modern style, there is free parking, and the courtyard where breakfast is served is very peaceful. The hotel is located very close to I-5, and it was a 20 minute drive to the airport and 15 minutes to most things in San Diego. The personal touch was much nicer that what you experience and larger hotels, and it was a great value for the price. I highly recommend El Primero Boutique B&B.

My stay here was very nice. The owners are delightful people and the morning breakfasts were wonderful. It's out of the mainstream of San Diego, but that's OK. Weekend drives to downtown were easy. The downtown area of Chula Vista is revitalizing and fun to explore.

The outside of the building is old, but the inside is beautifully renovated and modeled. I loved it. Small and cozy rooms. Great staff. Good breakfast. Decent price.

Trip Type: Romance Review 24 of 27Charming hosts.
We were lured in by the home-baked banana bread, but were equally charmed by the thoughtful room themes and the immaculate, precious accommodations. It's family-run, and they can be a bit noisy when you're trying to sleep in, since they're preparing breakfast and running down the hall to the front desk. We'd booked thinking it was closer to SD proper, but the drive was manageable, and we amused ourselves with what (little) Chula Vista had to offer: community theatre, two or three decent restaurants and an arcade. El Primero isn't exactly central, but it compensates by being off-beat and very charming.

Pie and Sol Rogue have done an excellent job of making this B&B a wonderful oasis in Chula Vista. A great start to my mornings was enjoying their breakfast offerings in the courtyard. I have family in Chula Vista and from now on will stay here for all my visits.

Although not a traditional b&b, this converted hotel has all the feel of a family home. The owners and family made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and were happy to answer any questions we had about the area. The breakfast was nice and the WiFi connection is excellent.
