Trip Type: Not Provided Review 3 of 37Have to Pay for Parking
I parked in a gravel lot and had to pay $12 per night for it, plus tax. If it was a rgarage or lot in town or closer to town I could understand, but really! a grave lot ?? Food is great in the restaurants, although a little pricey. But quite exceptional quality. The atmosphere and the main areas are beautiful and well appointed.

Trip Type: Rest and Recreation Review 4 of 37Best Resort EVER! Better than Four Seasons!!
Yes! That's right. I have stayed at SEVERAL Four Season's Resorts throughout the world, and this hotel is the same quality as a Four Seasons Resort! Everyone knew you by name. The grounds were beautiful. Spa was the best my friends had every been to. Overall, a wonderful experience.

Trip Type: Romance Review 6 of 37Serene and Beautiful
I loved the property and the hotel full stop! The rooms were romantic and I liked the cd that was playing when I arrived. The pool was fantastic and I could have spent the day there. The problem I had was the service from the front of the house. The front desk personal was less than efficient, unfriendly. I had to adjust my bill twice and waited for the gal to go and get her bank so I could have settled up in cash.I also found the Spa receptionist a little chilly when I asked for a tour of the spa. She flat out said "no" and did not offer another more convenient time to take a quick tour. However, I must say that all the waitstaff and bartenders were great!I have been to many 5 star hotels and the only thing holding this hotel back is the inconsistent service form the staff.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. It is comfortable, even luxurious with great amenities--pool, hot-tub, etc. At hotel to definitely revisit.

Trip Type: Business Review 8 of 37Excellent Choice
We stayed in another very nice resort in Santa Fe the night before, so we already had a high expectation for El Monte Sagrado. We were delighted with the hotel and the service. We would (and already have) recommend them to our friends.

Trip Type: Romance Review 9 of 37Unique and Enjoyable
Beautiful eco conscious hotel with soothing waterfalls, great spa and excellent food/bar. Casual but upscale. Spa tub in room we had was great. Close to town and good location for day trips to surrounding sites, including Taos Pueblo. Comfortable beds, nice linens, fireplace in room. Excellent staff.

Trip Type: With Friends Review 13 of 37Elegant and Relaxing
We had a fabulous couples weekend. The hotel and grounds were luxurious but understated. All four of us got massages in the spa, following a day of biking and horse-back riding in the mountains. We all agreed that the spa therapists were great, and we ended up very happy even though we had initially balked at the somewhat higher prices and mandatory 20% gratuity.
